It's a slipperly slope if you don't suspend him for that. I am sure his defense will be that I thought the linesman was an Islander. - Pete V
I'm sure it would be. BS on that tho cause the Isle are all in blue. You recognize colors first and he saw black and white. So either he knew it was an official or he thought it was a teammate.
this seems to indicate Hank does not have a chance:
Pierre LeBrun @Real_ESPNLeBrun 2m
The few GMs I asked about their Vezina vote all had Bobrovsky and Niemi on their ballot but the 3rd name varied... - jimbro83
I was so out of touch with the West this year I didnt even know Niemi was doign that well

Only chance he has is the Western GMs splitting the Bob/Neimi vote, and the Eastern Conference GMs feeling Eastern Conference price, which I am not sure exists. It's not the Heisman, I guess.
stevezipay: Ryane Clowe on ice as well. Do not see any spare forwards. Clowe could be ready
If Clowe is good to go, who comes out? Pyatt? Saw Asham on the ice a lot Monday, i bet he stays in
Edit: I'm an idiot and forgot Powe was hurt - NYRangers1124
What's the verdict on the Powe injury? Head or lower body? The play he got hurt on was odd. It looked as if he may have taken an elbow to the head; though it didn't look like much. Then he went down with the Caps player and their legs were tangled up as they fell. When Powe got up, he took one stride and went down as he pushed off.

What do you think, Bryzgalov gets bought out and they hand it over to Mason? - pcjr307
I'd wait a year to see if Mason is for real. I don't hand the reins to a guy after 2 ok weeks in meaningless games. Bryzgalov started the year well, playing behind a horrible team. I think having no real backup and having to play every game wasn't the best thing (Homer and Lava take the fall for that...Leighton and Boucher....Really?). And it wore him down physically. Even Hank gets a day off now and again. And the media here are such idiots, once he was worn down they decided to use his accent to make him class clown. The one guy this morning actually compared Akeson to Briere in skillset--who's the class clown? Frank Seravalli!

I don't think Bryz is a bad goaltender. I think he is a middle of the pack goaltender, who has periods where he can look like a top notch goaltender. I think you can win with a guy like Bryz in net, but his contract is terrible and therefore, the Flyers will ultimately have no choice but to buy him out -- probably next summer.
