The combo of Nabby and Poulin SUCKS compared to Healy and Fitz.

When you have a 37 in net, it's nice to have a backup that can win a game or two. Mark Fitzpatrick was a decent backup that could win.

According to Arthur Staple of Newsday, the Islanders will not call up Rick DiPietro or Nino Niederreiter. Both could be distractions to what has been a very positive run.

Poulin is terrible. He isn't DP but he's close. I'd rather play with 6 guys and try to control the puck for 60 minutes.

There wasnt much winning here the last 20 years... PLEASE just be cause we made the playoffs this year don't tell me he choose to not make the playoffs & take the money... He took the cash, took the security, took the better franchise & at the time there was no brooklyn deal in place, so the chose to goto Colorado rather then Quebec/Seattle/KC... are all better reasons then signing for less money & less years in NY.

As for the 1993 Isles, talentwise I'd say we're comparable. The 1993 Isles weren't supposed to go anywhere. Players played miles above their heads (Healey etc). That's what made that team so special.

Why not ask some Pens fans how "irrelevant" their backup was against Philly last year? They didn't have one so they had to let Fleury choke and just take it.
