The last time I posted on here was before the loss to the flyers. I didn't want to come on here and read about all the whining and female doging because they lost for the 1st time in regulation in almost a month. Now with them playing the Penguins between all the crying from Islander fans and all the Penguin trolls, I'll be enjoying this playoff series away from this site win or lose. I'm pumped for this series and I hope they shock the world but if they don't that's ok because this is just the first step on their way back to the top. Instead of whining and crying you guys should be embracing the challenge. Go Islanders!!!

Agreed that I'd choose Hickey over Strait, though I'm afraid it won't happen. Hickey has been one of our top three dmen this year IMO and has gotten better as the seasons gone on...suddenly we decided to start sitting him. I have a feeling Joensuu and Hickey will be watching while Carkner and Boulton play..

Hamonic and MacDonald
Hickey and Viz
Streit and either Carner or Stright

eh, i dont think boulton will play...no much fighting in hockey playoffs. i had no problem with him playing the last 2 games; assuming there arent brawls during any games, him seeing any ice in the playoffs would be a HUGE mistake.

as much as EVERYONE knows that the NHL love the penguins, i wonder if there is a feeling that an islanders upset (IE an up and coming team, in a (future) high market city, with tons of prospects and potential) could be just as valuable...

I actually have been pleasantly surprised by joensuu. He is better than reasoner and Boulton combined. He has played a physical sound game and has created opportunities. Capuano is a complete moron if these are his lines.
