That's what bryz was like earlier in the year. Until game 20 hit and he couldn't hold up anymore from the constant poopshow

Odds my friend. Odds.

Theres still a good shot at getting a defenseman in the draft, regardless where they pick. Obviously Jones is either 1st or 2nd, I see Nurse and Ristolainen going between 5-10, Pulock and maybe Zadorov (although I think thats a bit of a stretch for him) gping 10-15, and Morrissey and Haag going 15-20.

Basically, imo, anyone in the top 20 is going to get a very very good prospect.

I'm all in for using the 1st rounder + to get Shea Weber.
- Winning

They'll ask for the 1st rounder + Giroux + Jake + Couturier + Schenns (both) + Simmonds + Rinaldo.

They're just to high strung on keeping him I think

I want Pulock but I don't think I see him making it past 10.

Whoa, slow down... just some technical similarities. Mason's had a nice start, but they still basically need to built him back up mentally from the ground up.
- Tomahawk

I actually see similarities in his technique with guys like Price and Quick. I didn't say he's as good as Price yet so there's no need to slow down. Price took quite a while and many mental battles to get where he is. He seems like he's got allthe tools and his success so far here tells me he may be getting confidence back. If that happens, I'd say he may develop into a guy we can rely on. He's still very young.

let me check this math.

Finished 23-22-3
23+22 = 45

23/55 = 0.5111111

0.511111 * 100 = 51.11111%

God dammit. There goes Nurse and Pulock.
- hereticpride

At least one of them should still be on the board wherever the Flyers pick. Could also see a couple high-rated forwards drop as a couple off-the-board selections get made. There really is very little difference between picking 8th and 12th in this deeper-than-average draft year.

I'm so happy they won.

I'm so angry they won.

Flyers come up big after choking when it mattered. Tough to argue any of it is going to make any difference to next season.

Good for Mason on his 100th win.

You realize that Weber can't be traded until after the 2013 draft, right?

Man Ottawa needed at least 1 point out of this game. Philly dropped from the 8th overall pick to the 13th after this win.

Bryz spends too much time on his stomach -- mostly because he's not the most agile/coordinated guy in net and he's not quick enough to get back into the butterfly on second chance shots so he ends up flat along the ice. He gets away with below-average mobility because he's good at filling the net and positions himself aggressively to take the angle away.

Mason plays a lot like Price... he sits much deeper in net, and when he's on his game, it looks like he's barely moving at all because he's so fluid and has such great economy of movement. Mason's explosive side-to-side, too, but has the body control to stop his slide on a dime so he doesn't end up out of position. Physically and technically, he's as close to ideal as you can get. His problems are 99% between the ears.

- Tomahawk

If this is true what's with the slow fall after he catches a puck? I feel like yelling "TIMBER!" At least three or four times a game with him in net.

Idk i guess it depends on what every other team needs too. This draft is deep in forwarda as well... i can see Mackinnon, drouin, nichushkin, barkov, monahan, lindholm, and maybe even shinkaruk and domi going top 10-12

Thank you Bill

Ryan Puluck should still be there when we pick
As you said 8th-12th isn't a big difference in this draft

Agree. And we have no idea who the Flyer's scouts have in mind. Laughton was picked higher that most people thought he would, so the same may happen this year. Which would mean that 8th or 12th is practically the same.

Great to see this team play hard and finish the season strong.

Amazed at how well they played with the current defensive core.

I totally agree. Just saying i dont think its possible to be disapointed if you're picking in the top 15. Too much talent in this draft

Better than our lottery odds.

It will be learned that lauridsen has been playing Nintendo with his kids and sleeping over. He'll be back
