Ward has been overrated since 2006 when he went unconscious during the playoffs. Look at his numbers. he doesn't make our situation in net any better, especially behind our defence. Skinner is a concussion waiting to happen, and is another smallish winger...which we already have in spades. Where do you see the proven stars in that equation? It's an overpay by Edmonton.

actually, i love gagner. like turris he just needs a new address. i just don't think you'll get a 1st rounder for him. he's going to get you 40-45 pts a year in Edmonton and maybe more in a different jersey.

Terrible over pay. Why Edmonton would do that is beyond me.Say they did do that deal.
Now we have another 6 million dollar Hobbit on the wings to go with Ebs and Yak,
No 2C with RNH in surgery (Horcoff to the 1st line please ), we are down another top 4 D-man, so now we need 2(?) and we have a marginal improvement inn Goal that doesn't outweigh the salary differential.
Not only that, but we no longer have our 1st to deal to address the hole at Center and our even weaker defense. Sh!tty deal all around for Edmonton.

Reading through these comments was painful.

Cloutier's shtick is getting kind of old. If these are his real opinions, he need to think them out a little more. If he's just joking, it's getting REALLY tired. Either way he should change things up.

that leaves you in the position of needing to draft a center. it's as simple as that. trade up to get the center you want. it might mean swapping picks and adding gags or smid or another piece.

I'm fine keeping Gags. I would not send him away this year. I want a big tough 2LW that will go along side him, hit people, and stand in front of the net and crash and bang and shovel in the garbage rebounds.

Also "upgrading" Dubnyk is WAY down my list of priorities. And there are not too many upgrades that are available that are worth the price.

They won't be. and for the right deal yes. Absolutely. Package it up if they have to. This team needs experienced NHL help, not a 7th pick that might have an impact in a couple years.
