I will say that last year he was really bad and lost his way but for the most part I have been happy with Grabner so far and what he gives this team. He is a smaill guy but dont mind getting into the corners and getting dirty. He works hard. I am just afraid that he might be the one they trade when the young guys are ready to come up here. I can make a list of about 10 guys before Grabner should go

youre mistaking the word "trade" for "drop"....

everyone (not including jt) should be on even playing ground when it comes to being traded....

the ONLY thing that matters is the return

Neither have I. I am just waiting to see what they do next year with this club. Do they build on teh success or do they leave things the way they are?? Do they resign guys like Streit and Nabby or watch them walk for nothing??? do they resign cappy to an extension?? It scares the hell out of me

Should be interesting, hopefully

agree to disagree...i think moulson over the past 5-7 games has been nothing short of brutal.
- LetsGoIsles

Not saying moulson has been good but at least he has put a few in the net. When is the last time Boyes scored a goal?

You are absolutely correct. I agree should have said that if we traded him and got something amazing back then I would hav eto be all for it. I dont want a draft pick though or some busted prospect

I think thats why we generally give him a pass for being completely awful everywhere else on the ice except for scoring. Boyes just doesn't know his limitations. He stickhandles too much and makes bad decisions. Tavares is just completely frustrated out there and you can see it and its affecting his game. How often before this year have we seen him slam his stick against the boards in disgust. I feel like it happens 2 or 3 times a game now.

I can't see another team giving us what would be a realistic return on Grabner? I don't think most fans realize just how important he is to this team? The guy scores no matter where he's put and is one of the best PK'ers this team has had in years. Other teams don't get settled on the PP when he is on the kill, you can see the defenders backing up over the blue line. That in itself is invaluable, factor in some timely goals which he always seems to score and you have an excellent player who for some reason does'nt get the credit?

to me, its much more than the numbers...as pap and boyes have proven, when you play with JT you are bound to put up points...moulson has looked slow, cant play defense, doesnt hit or play physical and isnt even finishing the way he used to. personally i believe at this point colin mcdonald could do AT LEAST what moulson is/has done if he were playing with JT and provide some muscle and protection for JT when necessary.

fwiw, to your point, moulson scored 2 goals since march 5...boyes assisted on both.

Yeah you are right on that. He is very valueablt to this team and should be part of the long term for them. I think other temas are afraid he is goign to burn them with a break away so they tend to tense up which is great. I have not seen that since Jason Blake was here

Being one of the three forwards on that line probably had something to do with that

haha busted...

my point is, if moulsons "wow factor" is that hes putting the puck in the net...well, quite frankly, he isnt.

I'm not disagreeing at all. Moulson has been pretty bad for a while now. Gives up on plays, just glides around. It's blatant at this point. Him and Boyes have both been awful and it seems to be wearing on Jt. Speculation of course but he looks pretty pussed most of the time out there. I've seen him scowling at Boyes numerous times after a couple gaffes as well as Moulson. That line needs to get going.

I will take Moulson over Boyes any day of the week. That is my point. Its not even debatable

agreed....no one would...and if thats what we were talking about, it wouldnt be a debate.

LGI: "but i dont think he has been the worst on the line in the last 5-10 games.."
Vukota: "sure he has"

Boyes has been the worst on that line the last 10 games and the 10 before that and so on

One thing I wish was that Boyes was gone the trade deadline, maybe put Hemsky in there? Who knows? It definitely would'nt have disrupted any chemistry on this team. Maybe Tambellini could've kept his job showing a little more action?

Did we trade for Subban yet???

I can't believe you guys thought he wasn't worth 4.5 million to 5 million.

You need to start paying attention to what I say....

My boy jack. It was funny watching Tavares toss him like seven feet when he was clutching and grabbing him during the Washington game. Did'nt know Tavares had it in him?

It was actually really funny. Tavares was getting beat to hell that game. He just put his foot down with Hillen, like he said enough is enough
