Let's say that Islanders finally found their stride and identity of the team. I love what Islanders did in each game from first period to last. I always felt that in previous seasons, Bailey didn't show his true color on ice. Finally this is what We have seen the last few games. Maybe SNow knows something we didn't. We trust in General SNow! Let's go Islanders. Please beat NYR. make us proud! My fiancee and I was at Panera Bread yesterday and a Islanders fan approached me and said, " we must make the playoffs because it has been so long" I thought to myself that it wasn't that long since we made it in 07. But I realized that in our heads, it didn't really count because we got lucky. As this season goes, I just want us to make it because we are able to....not just because we got lucky! They've only shown improvement, they haven't regressed, so yeah, I think they would only climb higher and higher in the standings if they had more games. It's called growing and geling as a team...a homegrown core coming together. Mark my words, these Islanders will be a pain in your ass for a very long time. Get used to it.

They did play great last year but you can't use a shortened training camp as an excuse. Every team had to deal with it. Most of the other teams that were predicted to be towards the top of the standings are where they were predicted to be.

Can't argue that, it would be ridiculous to think any team could keep this pace, but this team has figured out how to win. Do I think this team would still have a good shot at the playoffs if they played a full season? absolutely.
