Giroux needs to do his thing.

This is ridiculous.

Timmy P shot that one down. I also just heard though that Bryz was quoted in the courtier post that he doesn't care if he's a flyer next year.

Going to be a sweet offseason. Now if we could only trade that stiff b schenn

Not sure where the Schenn hate is coming from. He's struggled at times this season, but also had stretches where he played well. Not uncommon for a 21 year old player.

Me either. Everyone wants to go with youth, but then want to trade a guy when he's still going through a learning curve. He's getting more patient with the puck, which I like.

I'm being serious.

Timonen is the aging vet who won't be here in a year, Giroux's the captain of his team--not only are the Flyers pitiful this year, the media has now decided to find every little gossip story to get Bryz on the first train out of here.

I don't care if the team (frank)ing loves the guy or hates his guts, Giroux needs to be the one to go out there and say, "Bryz is our goalie, we have faith in him, and we're going to win with him. If you don't like it, too bad."

Come on, fellas. Get your (frank)ing poop together.

Video in the link.

Timonen laughed at the report.

"No, that's not true," he said."...He wasn't sleeping."

He paused.

"What he scoop!" he added, sarcasm dripping.

"I did not see him sleeping at a team meting," winger Wayne Simmonds said.

"Our meetings are short. That's just a bad rumor," forward Ruslan Fedotenko said.

Bryzglaov had started 22 straight before being replaced by Steve Mason in arguably the Flyers' biggest game of the season Tuesday. Mason played well in a 4-1 loss. One Islanders goal was scored by the Flyers, and another was fired into an empty net after the goalie was pulled.

Sleepgate unfolded one day after former Flyers Sergei Bobrovsky of Columbus and Ray Emery of Chicago had shutouts for their respective teams. Both have been mentioned as Vezina candidates.

The Fanatic's Harry Mayes is the one who reported that Bryzgalov fell alseep at a meeting.

by far the biggest problem I had with him was on the game winning goal.

B Schenn made a mistake not dumping the puck and finishing the line change, but it was 1-1, and he was on a 2 vs 2 and took a chance. Not smart, but he is 21 and these things happen.

Hartnell comes on the ice, drifts all the way across to the far face off circle, and leaves the middle ice open for Grabner to fly in and get his screened shot off.

I can live with B Schenn making a bad play there, but Hartnell's play left a bad taste.

I will chock it up to youth BUT the play by Schenn and Simmonds irked me because it just reaks of beer league play when a person is stuck in the D zone and when the puck finally leaves the zone they stay out cause they want time in the O zone. NO! you change and wait til next time.

Love how B. Schenn is only 21, has had many more downs than ups this year, but has still managed to post 22 points in 38 games.

Yet it's being debated if he's a bust? Rich.

- bradleyc4

Oh good lord, just like JVR was a bust before he even played one damn NHL game. fans like that just utterly frustrate me to no end.

People can complain about his decline all they want. Statistically, he is 5th among all d-men in points this season, and on a overwhelmingly MINUS team, he somehow is a +1.

He is doing all this while playing with multiple injuries to boot.

I'd love to see the stat for how many times the Flyers have allowed a goal within 2 minutes of scoring one themselves.

The media is asking players if Bryzgalov fell asleep in the team meeting.

Full blown circus.

- PLindbergh31

Knuble's quote on Bryz allegedly falling asleep was great:

"You've hardly even sat down. I don't think your ass made your spot on the bench warm enough. That's silly. That's asinine."
