Mood: Crappy with a touch of desperation, depression and a hint of whimsy

Summary:
Flyers need the following
New Coach
A goalie to pair with Mason
2 new defensemen who can move the puck
another top forward to play with Giroux
Superb luck at the draft lottery

They could also use
A miracle recovery and time machine for Pronger
The ability to clone Bobby Clarke, Mark Howe, and just for the heck of it Lemieux, Gretzky and Orr

The Gusty goal was the perfect "welcome to the Flyers" moment for Mason.
Honestly you could not have scripted a more fitting ending to this awful season.

Didn't see the game as I had one of my own last night. I had the misfortune of listening to the Islanders radio guys call the game while I was in the car. (Holy moly, those dudes sound like college radio. )

I caught the video "highlights" this morning.

Low, glove side must be the book on The Answer.

Finally, Bob is a cruel joke. We all saw the talent and work ethic. This story line is the worst. Just sucks no matter what is said.

I turned on the XM NHL channel in the car this morning at about 6:58 and caught the tail end of whatever show they replay at that hour just before HTM. The dude was saying exactly that. To paraphrase him "We've just about seen the last of Bryz in Philly. Mason is their #1 now."



Clearly that was recorded before last night's game.
