Brayden Schenn's gonna be a good hockey player. He's not there yet. He's just not and Holmgren has to figure out if Brayden Schenn can be the 2nd line center on this team next year.

I'm sure the fight had some to do with it. But when I read that B Schenn has to grow up. I think that he's 21 and has only played about 100 NHL games has to be considered. I don't think the Flyers are close to giving up on the player.

Seriously? You posted that Jsaq forgot that they traded for Nabakov's rights. So that means that Bryzgalov wasn't the Flyers first choice. So two points. How do you know that the Flyers wanted Nabakov for the long term? And not just for one year? Second, how can you say that Bryzgalov wasn't their first choice, when Nabakov and Bryzgalov weren't both available in the same year? If they were, you might have a point. But obviously, as was stated before by Jasq, in the 2011 Off Season, Bryzgalov was the Flyers first choice.

you have obviously forgotten that they traded for Nabakov's rights at the draft but couldn't sign him.

Using that logic, Bryzgalov was the third choice, after they signed Emery.

I'm not against a buy out, still would prefer to wait, but if they do, I'd like to see a guy like Emery brought in, more of a known quantity than Khudobin.

I think a good, top four/top pair guy with mobility and puck skills is the biggest need, though.

I don't think the Flyers can count on Mez anymore, i'd rather have someone else tbh. Mez is an injury monster. I actually like Huskins, alot.

I wouldn't count on Meszaros. Grossmann is an injury concern as well between the concussions and knees. This defense core is in tatters.

I don't worry about B Schenn's maturity as much as I worry about his decision making. He seems to have a little bit of that Hartnell stupidity in him sometimes.

The play tonight where he tried to carry the puck down the boards into the Isles zone .... at the VERY end of his shift ... only to turn it over and it ends up behind Mason is a prime example. Nothing to do with maturity. Just a stupid, stupid play.

I would not be suprised to see the Flyers during the draft trade with the Jets, Coyotes or the Blues. Both teams have a plethora of d-men and a need for top 6 forwards.
