It's a lot easier to forgive Schenn than Hartnell or Coburn.

The poor play from vets has exacerbated the younger players' inconsistencies.

Yep. Some of the vets were very dissappointing this season. I like what I see from Hall though. albeit small sample.

There's a few posters that have called for adding Hall for years now. He's a good faceoff guy & decent PKer.

That's a really good question.

Leafs, not even close
Zero cups since expansion
The Harold Baldwin era
Zero playoff apperances since JR KO'd them in '04

Edit...or did I misinterpret the question?

Mason has played pretty well. He should of stopped the first goal but other than that hes been solid.

He's looked shaky on some of the more routine shots, but that's to be expected with someone of his confidence level in a game of such importance...

Yes, it's about which fanbases are more bi-polar

I have an issue with the first goal, but he's been solid otherwise. Not much chance on the second tally.

He's done a good job to keep his team within one goal. Still would like to see him make that stop in the first period.

Flyers need to step it up the season is on the line. Have to win against a team thats ahead of you in the standings.

I looked that up after they picked him up 54+%. Flyers could use that and he would be cheap. Rinaldi, Laughton, Talbot and Hall who would go to the 3rd line and would that be a good idea?

One other issue I've noticed has been rebound control, but it hasn't burned him

Not that Hartnell "sucks" but thats why I hate signing players to long term deals after having a career year. He should bounce back next year when fully healthy.

I'd like to see Laughton as a 3rd liner, but we shall see.

i don't have an issue with the first one. guy walks in to the slot and zips a good shot over the pad from in close. he's had trouble with a lot of pucks bouncing around off him in close but i think he's had a very solid game. the team in front of him has next to nothing to offer tonight.

Even if he ends up being the backup next year its an upgrade from Leighton.

He needs someone to shame him in to working hard on and off the ice again like Jagr did.
