Actually excited for Buffalo fans. I think Larsson is going to be a hell of a player for the Sabres org. Hated to see him go, Hackett as well, but happy with Pominville. Wild welcomed Pommer with a 0 - 3 shut out loss! Felt kind of bad for him, he shows up right in the middle of a rough patch for the Wild. Cullen and Heatley both injured. Didn't look like it took him long to get comfortable with Mikko and Zach though. I'm sure he'll be much more acclimated to Yeo's system after a rare team practice tomorrow before they take on the suddenly rising Blue Jackets.
Good luck Buffalo fans! As a Wild fan I know what it's like to have a nice pool of prospects to start a promising rebuild! - MnGump
Good luck to you guys in the playoffs, I'll be rooting for you guys.

Holy poop! Regier said at the 1997 draft that they picked mikka norranen instead of Brendan morrow because Dom has insinuated that he was thinking of retiring and going back to Europe and they needed a goalie just in case.
^#%*+^#^#*
That would have been our peca replacement and probably what put us over the year after the cup final lose!
What's up with Girgensons on the wing? At first I thought it was "just to get comfortable with pro hockey" but now it sounds like they're just going to turn him in to a winger. - seedy
Wondering the same thing. We needed centers, drafted centers, but move them too wing?

Morrow was playing mostly 3rd line mins at that point of his career and had 33pts in 64 gp. Played 21 playoff games 6pts. Essentially a non factor come the playoffs and they lost in the finals to NJ.

I think it's just a numbers thing
We're pretty deep at center now
Hodgson, Grigorenko, Ennis... Scoring centers
It may make sense to move one of them to the wing
Girgensons projected as our eventual #3 checking center, but Larsson is also that type of player and ahead of him in his development...
Also have Kea, who is the same type player as well
And Catenacci, who was previously thought to be a winger, but has improved his faceoffs & defense to the point where scouts are saying he may be a center in the NHL after all

Unrelated, but Trending Buffalo has a great podcast up ripping local Buffalo sports reporters and their lack of sources at the deadline. - PassionBucket16
i hope to hell they rip up bucky and jeremy white, those guys are awful. at least schopp and bulldog and sometimes harrington use relatively reliable sources or they only guess but say they're guessing. white/bucky just read any old rumor site and go full tilt like it's happened already.

Harrington gets his share. Essentially, the local guys have no inside sources within the Sabres organization, which begs the question, "What's the point of these reporters?"

because it's sports talk radio and some people like listening to others talk about the sports people like. who cares if they have sources. sources mean you find out about a move a week or 2-3 days before the team themselves tell you about it. whatever.
buffalo lives and dies with the bills/sabres and we like hearing about it. we also like complaining, so people do that plenty too...
