You team got a really good player both on and off the ice. Good luck to Pommer and his new team this year.
- Dwight K. Schrute

Wild gave up a lot, but I do like the fact that both teams got a very good return. Of most of the teams in the East, Buffalo is one that I've always liked and I wish the Buffalo fans well with their rebuild and their newly acquired pieces.

Im so glad Suter and Parise are working out in Minny. Two of my fav players. I was rooting for the Wild to land them.

Thankfully, +/- doesn't count in my pool

But about his wrist. He left the game last night.

Haven't heard anything yet, but they way he came off the ice, he may very well be out tonight.

It would be the first game he's missed since joining the Wild.

I heard he will miss "some time". Nothing to specific.

Great pick up by the Wild. Pommer seems to stay healthy which is good for the Wild. Would be cool to see them land Staff or Vanek. Little surprised the Wild didnt do anything with theyre defense at all. Pommer was one of the few players doing well to get moved while being younger than the rest. I think the value was pretty fair.

Kings better start Bernier. Tired of seeing Quick lose us games.

I'm also greatly disappointed they didn't address the Defense. Brodin and Suter are a legit 1/2 pairing, but aside from maybe Spurgeon, the rest of the Wild D is barforama. Gilbert is terrible, he's like a mobile turn stile on the ice that gives up the puck every time he touches it. Falk is big but doesn't seem to ever want to use his size and unfortunately that's all he's got. Prosser is just plain mediocre and Stoner has good size and uses it, but his basic hockey skills are sub par to put it nicely.

That said, last nights game was a prime example of why this team needed to get better defensively. This team (even with Pominville) cannot rely on offense alone and Suter and Brodin unfortunately cannot play 60 minutes a game. I like the Pominville move, but they left the most glaring weakness of this team unaddressed. IMO Wild will have much difficulty in the playoffs with this defense.

Couldnt agree more. Maybe management likes the guys they have and are hoping another year of development will go along ways. Isnt Dumba like all Offense? Whats the word on Scandella? He was pretty solid last season. Maybe he makes a solid surge for the line up. Falk and Scandella are still young kids. Management must believe theyre gonna turn out fine.

I'm hoping Scandella get's another shot. Not sure what Yeo's status is on him, but he can't do any worse than what they have up right now.

While I'm glad this trade got done, I won't deny that not having him around will be a huge change for us. I'm leaving this deadline a happy customer... Or salesman I should say.

I would love to see Minny go far with Jason, a lot of West teams have been growing on me and the Wild are without a doubt one of them. I'm really surprised this deal got done considering the trade history between these two teams. You guys better do good in the playoffs ya hear!?

"A while" is the last I heard. Not looking good... and Larsson would have been the perfect call up to replace Heater.

If there's a bright side to this trade, at least Hackett and Larsson are going to a non-dooshy team such as Buffalo. I'm sure us Wild fans are over-valuing these guys, like all fans do, but I really do think Hackett becomes Buffalo's best goalie prospect. Once he controls his rebounds, his skill-set is too great to keep him from starting in this league. Larsson should be ready to go next season, although with Buffalo clearly in a rebuild, I'd give him plenty of minutes now on the 3rd line. He's ready for it

Dumba is no doubt an offensive d man, but he's an exciting player to watch. For a guy who isn't considered a big body, he can throw some crippling checks, but from what I've heard, he's very very raw. Needs to develop awareness and positioning as he's known for getting caught lining up hits and skating up into offensive play often.

edit: spelling again.

Granlund recalled today. Let's hope he's improved a bit. Or a bunch.

I just saw he was playing well in Houston. Still a minus player. But PPG status.

Dan Boyle is an old man, imagine what Kopitar is going to do to him tonight.

So they recall Granlund to possibly replace Cullen, but who's going to replace Heatley? Haven't heard anything else, I would assume Zook would be coming as well.

Oh yeah, I forgot. The top rated players in the league don't ever have off nights. Something tells me you're really smart...

Injured. He fell against the boards at the end of the game against St. Louis. Out at least 2 games, maybe more. Haven't heard any more since...

Not sure. I would love to see what Granlund, Coyle and Zook could do as the 3rd line though... I would imagine it'll be

1st - Parise Koivu Pominville

2nd- Coyle Granlund Seto

3rd- PMB Brodziak Zucker

4th- Mitchell Konopka Rupp
