yeah, we have triple play too. would help if the gf didn't need the DVR to watch her 12,000 crap shows

I've always called and complained the second I go off promotion and always get bill lowered or put on to a new promotion. its a pain but gotta play the game

Not sure if you have Verizon but if you actually ask for the retention department they can give you better offers than calling the normal department.

Now I'm really pissed about that Timonen re-signing. I'm calling Comcast tomorrow.

that Timo signing easily added $30 - $40 to all of our bills.

if I knew my cable bill was directly related to the moves the Flyers make. I'd have a lot of different thoughts on what the Flyers should do. I think I don't want them to get a #1 defenseman now. That costs to much.
- MJL

The Flyers are close to the cap limit every year so that's not the issue. The issue is lost money like in the case of when they buy out Bryzgalov. If you think Comcast doesn't raise prices on its services to make up for losses, it's not worth discussing this.

Cable costs are going up because of many factors, none of which are realted to sports contracts.

communication, city, state, federal taxes.
increased programming
inceased competition(programming and other medium)
natural resources relative to inflation
emplyee costs relative to inflation(healthcare, pensions, ...)
...

Yep. They can also try to sign Joacim Eriksson this summer. He's still a UFA.

Every company does that. If you call up and say what will you do to keep me, they'll find a better price or promotion. If they won't hang up and call back in ten minutes.

Part of the reason that they traded Bobrovsky was because he is going to be a RFA this summer. After the Varlamov mess, where he threatened to go to the KHL, the Flyers decided to get a return out him and forestall a possible issue in getting him re-signed.

Part of it was also due to the inability to send Bobrovsky to the AHL, without going through waivers. He needed to play regularly and it was felt he wouldn't in Philly.

- Jsaquella

we got a 2nd rndr, which at that juncture, looked to be a solid return. my issue was signing vomit for a backup...i just don't get homer sometimes. they just go yr to yr and seem to rarely learn from their mistakes.

today, we can take comfort in the fact that he didn't overpay or sell off young assets to sneak in to the plyoffs. that's something, but frankly, I'd welcome a change at GM.

Comcast, but they have the same "special" number that they only give to you if you threaten to switch or keep pressing them after they say they cant help you. also depends on who you talk to, one person will say I cant give you multiple deals, call the next day and they give you everything without question

Comcast makes a gazillion dollars. $10-$15 million extra in salary is meals expense for management. A $70 million team salary plus expenses -revenue is noise to a monster like comcast. They get more back in advertising value(not really, but you get my point).

Holmgren's moves pay immediate dividends as the team captures first 3-game win streak. Man is a genius. He even predicted Rinaldo's injury and proactively moved for Rosehill.

And yes, Oliver Laurdisen is STILL undefeated as a Flyer. The man simply refuses to lose.
