yes but when you take off of work, you get to view it all in the comfort of your PJs - Mentalorgasm5
Just saying that it really doesn't take the whole day. Everyone just sits around complaining that nothing has happened yet. Then one deal happens, everyone gets excited, and then nothing else happens for like an hour.
Now, it could end up different this year with the shortened season and everything, but the last 3 years or so have been relatively uneventful for most of the day. |

Heard that too.....even better. Better return.....I must go look at their prospects now. I only know of Tinordi at the moment. - twistedwrister9
I just hope Darcy isn't scared to deal a big name within the division. You take the best offer no matter what. |

He probably would get a higher return, seeing as how deals like that don't happen all that often. That being said, Montreal's system is pretty much bare bones right now. Not much to choose from, IMO. |

A few made the team this year and except for a few in the AHL, the rest are still in the NCAA or CHL. |

Yeah, which frustrated me because I had to work at 3:30. Thought I'd get to see some good stuff go down, and it all happened as soon as I walked out of my house to go to work. |

There's a reason Hamilton is dead last in the AHL. I don't want roster players from the Montreal team, but we need guys who are just about ready to make the jump. You guys don't really have that right now. |

Wouldn't even consider Blunden a prospect anymore....but thats neither here nor there. What do you think of Bournival....he is conspicuous by his absence on your list. He was solid on Shawinigans run to the title and has had a pretty good 1st pro season. Where is his standing in the organization? |

Very unDarcy like.
Would have to be an "offer he couldn't refuse" to deal them to Montreal.
What could they possibly package for them? - BuffaloHardHat

The problem is whether or not they'd be willing to give up the few decent prospects the currently have. |

Time to make some major moves for the future. Pommer is a good soldier but his time here is up. Miller's contract is to big so I would be shocked to see anyone grab him . Maybe an amnesty buyout. Vanek I would like to keep but am listening to all offers . Let Regher go have a chance to win a cup and resign him in the summer. Stafford really? |

Why would some of you give up on Vanek? Clearly our best player on most nights, and seasons for that matter. I would give him a three year extension and continue looking for the right pieces. With Pegula's money and desire to win a cup, i would say the term "rebuilding" wouldnt be in his vocabulary. Hes got the money to turn around the team now. Other teams have made successful changes in one season so i dont see why everyone is panicking to sell off the whole team. With the right coaching and system in place the Sabres just need to make a few smart moves between now and over the summer to right the ship. - Up2nuthun
Money doesn't turn a team around anymore. It doesn't matter how much money Pegula has, Buffalo can't spend any more than any other team. I'm not sure why that's still a foreign concept. What does turn around a franchise is smart drafting and a strong stable of prospects. I'm not trying to pick on Buffalo, but there's a lot to be desired there. They spent too long banking on the wrong guys and have never really bottomed out as a result. Buffalo's situation isn't going to be corrected in a season, it's time they get started on a process that will likely take several years. That means Vanek is probably on his way out. He indicated he'd be willing to stick around for a one year rebuild (seriously?) but if it's any longer than that he'd like to look elsewhere. Now is the time to trade Vanek and really kickstart the rebuild. |

Is this an April Fools joke? Amnesty buyout on Miller? Seriously? So buy him out and let him walk for nothing......sheer craziness |

They won't be resigning Regehr in the summer. Not if they trade him. He hasn't seemed very happy here, so I think his days here are extremely limited.
Miller's contract isn't that bad because he only has 1 year left. Someone will trade for him, though I don't think it happens until the draft.
Vanek is the one that I could go either way on. Wouldn't hate seeing him here, but would like to see him moved as well. I think he could get a decent return.
And welcome. Lot's of newbies around it looks like tonight. |
