Pommer is a productive player that consistently puts up decent points every year, but lets face it, he is not a first line player nor captain material and plays the perimeter game. Doesnt go to the hard areas to score goals. Would be better suited in a role where hes not counted on night after night. It still baffles me why he plays the point on the PP as he often becomes a defensive liability. I feel he has good value and should bring back a high pick or good prospect/player in return

Why wasn't Aaron Ward fired for saying Iginla to Boston a done deal. I know it's dramatic and what not but even Dreger and Bobby Mck are leaning towards tweeting what "they're hearing" instead of just posting done deals, not a fan of that.

Ward wasn't fired because his report was accurate. The deal was done for Iginla to the Bruins and then Iginla decided to veto that in favour of a deal to Pittsburgh.

Reality is it's only a 5 team list. I think Phoenix, Columbus & NYI are on everyone's list by default.

Dosn't matter now but I was under the impression it was a mistake, even Bobby Mck apologized on his twitter. Was my understanding that Flames and Bruins reached a deal but did not get the ok from Iginla.
