McKee has no ties to the organization anymore. he was fired last season - CaptPantalones
Well to be accurate he wasnt retained!! But you are correct he has no ties to the organization other than being a former player |

You just called him out and now you're saying he's legit. So which one is it?
If he didn't like people asking him, he would stop divulging information. If he never has anything to tell, then people will stop asking. - HonkFortheGoose
I wasnt trying to call him out. Im just saying he is not in the organization. And when I said clown I was referring to his avatar. I got no problem at all with his info |

Looks like leafs are going after Kipper. Thats one less goalie off the market and with luongos contract, Miller should fetch something good(1rst and top Prospect) |

So I was looking at Minnesota's cap situation and found something interesting. Backstrom needs a contract after this season. But I don't know that they can afford to resign him. They'll have 14 mil in cap space, but if he signs something even similar to what he has been getting, that takes pretty close to half of that space away. And they'll still only be at 16 players under contract.
I think it'll be interesting to see how their goalie situation plays out. It's also going to affect the market for goalies after the season is over. So if Miller and/or Luongo aren't moved soon it'll make that scenario interesting as well. |

You know Homer has been correct a helluva lot more than he has been wrong so unless you want to contribute something worth while why dont you pi$$ off.
Also Homer isnt the blogger here so who cares if his grammar is incorrect - Stripes77

Ugh. I hope they don't plan on giving up much for him. |

It has to be an overpayment which hopefully it is or he won't be traded until the summer. |

I know Kipper missed a bunch of time due to injury, but he's pretty much been a mess this year. |

Bye Pommer, Good Luck, Maybe the same team that gets Roy will take you too...we'll just end up getting a pick, that we will mold into a great player that will in turn be traded to another team that wins the Cup.. The Sabres are basically the AHL for the NHL, we train them and trade them to teams that can win. We can't hold on to anyone long enough to get a solid team together that works like a well oiled machine. We used to have that, But now it seems like we are just a molding factory that cleans them up, teaches them the ways of the force and sends them off to win.

I have a feeling Mike Smith will end up in Minny next season. A gap contract something like 3.5-4 mil next season. They are almost on that lets win it now stage he is a perfect fit for them

65 pt/year guy for a #2 C, a struggling 22 year old "prospect", and practically a 3rd rounder? Absolutely not.

Where do you see Backstrom going? - HonkFortheGoose
Backstrom could be a fit for Tampa if they give up on the Lindback Garon experiment. He could also end up in New Jersey or the Island |

It must be very frustrating. Is it because Regier has a self imposed cap. Otherwise why do you need to trade away your good players? |

What are you talking about? We train them and trade them to teams who win?
Like who?? Gaustad? Nope he didn't win anything. Kassian? He didn't win anything either. Roy? Yeah maybe him - oh wait...he hasn't won anything either and he actually may end up getting traded for a 2nd time in 10 months. |

NJ could be an interesting landing spot for him. Here's the other thing though, do you think Minnesota buys Harding out at the end of the season? He seems to be a huge risk now that he's been diagnosed with MS. It's why he's been out since the first few weeks into the season. |
