All Pegula does is allow Buffalo to spend with the countless other teams in the East who also spend to the cap, it really doesn't give them an advantage over anyone else. Yes, it's nice that they're not a budget team anymore, but it doesn't mean they can buy their way around a rebuild either.

The man makes a good point.....everyone can spend to the cap but can they spend it wisely on the right players. Here's lookin at you Darcy!

I think he's now realized that. He didn't make all the money he has by being a bad businessman. But I think whether or not he spent that money the last 2 years, this team would still look very much the same. The problem is a fundamental issue with the group he inherited from Golisano.

Coyle was the lone bright spot on the WJC team that was god awful last year. He played really well. And he did it with the flu. I think he needs a bit more time to develop though. He did score a goal the other night though.

All I know is what Ive said earlier.

The big shots (Terry, management) are all in Buffalo, not going to Pittsburgh.

Offers coming in for Pommer but nothing substantial yet.

Just because I'm a Leafs fan, I don't think that excludes me from having opinions about other teams. It's not like I'm trolling. Why is everyone so offended by other fans talking about your team? I could see your point if I was like "Buffalo sucks, have fun golfing" but that's not what I'm doing, because that's stupid. I mean, if Buffalo fans are only interested in talking to other Buffalo fans I'd be happy to leave but that seems a little strange.
- Jeffmt

There are many on here that assume since youre a fan of another team that whatever you say is trolling and should be met with a snark comment about your team. Its actually kind of annoying because it prevents fans who want to talk hockey from doing so.

I suppose, but if I'm trading Pominville, I want every remnant of him gone. I don't want to be paying him to play with someone else. I know that sounds silly, but I think there are enough other options out there that don't include us having to pay him for next year.

or with the new salary cap era we can hold some of pommers salary or we can just trade for salary back.

Why do people shoot down something becuase of salary. That is the easiest thing to get around.

The way I see it, DR will wait til nearly the deadline hour to complete his trades, he knows thats when you get max value. If the sabres ship Stafford, they most likey will resign Miller and Vanek in offseason with the new space. The only reason he took the Leo deal, is he, like us was surprised with the Blues offer.

Another source at Rds , renard lavoie, weighing in on Pomminville

The news was surprising, but Jason Pominville is about to submit a list, its general manager Darcy Regier, eight teams he refused to be exchanged.
Sabres captain had a good conversation with his CEO who explained that the position among the Sabres made it must listen to what the teams have to offer to all its players.
Regier has no right to talk with his counterparts from Jason Pominville if it has not submitted his list, as shown in his no-trade clause.
Darcy Regier is a general manager who likes to study all the options he has on the table and the only way to do so in the case of players on his team who have no-trade clauses.
Jason Pominville has another year on his contract that will bring him $ 5.5 million.

Basically this means he's trying to decide if the chance to win a Cup is enough to justify spending a few months away from his family.

Yep. And I am Terry Pegula's son.

Hi.

Regular people work there too. There's a lot of really boring stuff that needs to be done and Kypreos isn't about to do it. It's just like any other company.
