Two 2nd's for 24 is more than fair return.
- Homer

I think that's perfectly fair since he's a UFA at the end of the year anyway.

But Pommer needs to get some sort of prospect that is on the cusp of making the jump, IMO.

Well there's zero chance you're going to stock up on top 10 picks so you take what you can get.

Okay I am done engaging.

It's too bad Minnesota is in serious cap hell. They've got a lot of prospects I would like to have.

You are then letting a guy that you spent all sorts of time and resources on walk for nothing. No way that happens. That's why there's talk about him being traded. If Darcy were to use the compliance buyout on him, he would literally be the laughing stock of the NHL. That would make him look even more silly than anything Milbury ever did. And that's saying a lot.
- HonkFortheGoose

.....more silly than Milbury.....tough task to achieve for sure

In your opinion, should Darcy take a deal for Pommer that doesnt include a 1st rounder? Say... 2 prospects?

Didn't say you did. I said you're a fan. Toronto fans are the last fans that should be critical of what another organization has done recently.
- HonkFortheGoose

Just because I'm a Leafs fan, I don't think that excludes me from having opinions about other teams. It's not like I'm trolling. Why is everyone so offended by other fans talking about your team? I could see your point if I was like "Buffalo sucks, have fun golfing" but that's not what I'm doing, because that's stupid. I mean, if Buffalo fans are only interested in talking to other Buffalo fans I'd be happy to leave but that seems a little strange.

A bunch of 2nds on draft day can help you vault back into the 1st round
- twistedwrister9

That is very true. Good point.

You might as well have said exactly that. You pretty much picked apart the entire organization and what they did wrong. All I did was point out that your organization has had many more deficiencies and you shouldn't be pointing fingers.

Well, yeah. I really meant to say that he needs to get more than just picks. I need a player than can fill a roster spot, whether it be here or for a period of time in Rochester. I'd really prefer one that can make the jump to the NHL roster though.

lolwut?
that is where you are wrong....my guess is this era is still a foreign concept to you. Salary cap differs up to 20,000,000 between teams and with the ability to hold another players salary I think you really dont understand how it works

Case in point....If Pegs was owner in 2006 then Briere and Drury would not of left as UFAs So maybe rethink your post.

- toddkac

All Pegula does is allow Buffalo to spend with the countless other teams in the East who also spend to the cap, it really doesn't give them an advantage over anyone else. Yes, it's nice that they're not a budget team anymore, but it doesn't mean they can buy their way around a rebuild either.

This organization lacks depth on the wing outside of Armia.

They'll need those second round picks to draft a few wingers this year.

Unfortunately, they're going to need to rely heavily on them since they're going to have to dump some guys in order to manage their cap situation.
