I agree with that.
However, I don't think Boston would agree until after the trade. Otherwise why would they give up Colbourne + 1st + 2nd? Then, I don't CAR would agree because they signed him to a ridiculous contract. Then I don't think MTL would agree because they traded for him and that ridiculous contract. - 1979AD
What I mean is, they didnt either scout him or know better. Point is, that they all found out how poop he was once they did get him and did nothing but try to lose him as soon as they could. In none of the cases did he play well before those teams aquired him, nor did he do well once he got to those teams.
Iginla is playing far better now than Kaberle was when we traded him. Not even close. |

22 year old offense only non-PPG forward in the NCAA and a 20 year old small PPG offense only forward in the weakest division of the NCAA.
Dozzer PPG in prospects is all about age. - AdamFrench
There are exceptions amigo......Tyler Johnson! Seriously though, there are exceptions, but I doubt either of those NCAA guys amount to much more than Christian Hanson. |

How though? Its not like Boston got him a good deal - systemtool
Well i guess it didn't work or if it did than the original offer must have been bad..
The B's pulled the kids and kept them out of games last night for nothing when Feaster already had a deal done.. |

Of course not. But somehow it looks like Burke may have gotten more value in return for Kaberle than Feaster did for Iginla. My point was Feaster failed in waiting this long to trade him. It seems like you're arguing that point, but you're actually supporting it, so thanks. |

komi is getting bought out.. tho why they are letting him play (he's already hurt himself once) is beyond me - Dozzer
What's the difference in buying him out or him getting injured?
Both cost the same and have no cap ramifications. |

Insurance for the playoffs if they don't pick up somebody up, and we start getting injuries? |

In a vacuum, you think Kunitz is a more productive forward than Iginla? Kunitz is on pace for a 100pt season riding shotgun with Sid this year. |

It wasn't up to Feaster when to trade Iginla, because Iginla had a NTC. I do agree he should have traded him sooner, but the point is he got a bad deal in return whether he waited too long or not. The timing hurt him, but its not even remotely justifiable for the return he got. Leafs waited to long to trade Kaberle too, but they did get a respectable return for a guy who isn't even a franchise player or near the talent of Iginla. If thats your stance, you've been agreeing with me the whole time. |

Why can't Chara play as bad as he did last night against the Leafs, man he was awful and takes penalties. |
