You stated in your article that Jon Cooper wants to make the playoffs this year. How does Miller not help your team reach that goal?

If thats the case, then it would have to be this years first round pick, and it could be anything from a top 5 pick, to a mid first round, or hell, Miller could be the piece that gets you into the playoffs.

If its a trade for Miller, your first round pick is included. There is no extra value because it "could be a top 5 pick". Because it also could be bottom 10 pick.

miller has not been a vezina goalie since the season he won it. a solid goalie yes but not top 5 in the league anymore.

quick, price, fluery, luongo, hiller, ward , kipper, rinne all better in my opinion. hes in the category with howard, niemi, crawford etc. you're getting a 1A goalie to go with enroth, a 2nd rounder, and a top 6 forward. more than enough return.

Miller's lost his touch, take a real goalie that has a very bright future.

I don't understand the idea of trading Miller. Everyone saying that Miller is on the decline is confusing to me. Sure he is getting older and might not be as good as when he was younger. but....He's got a team that's playing VERY poorly in front of him, nightly. The people that ACTUALLY watch the Sabres games will tell you that he's the reason the Sabres haven't lost most games by 10 goals. He's played quite good this year....great at times. Good enough to give this team a chance in games....and of course the team doesn't help him at all.
Trade to Tampa...for what? All of this talk about Conacher... Look, i think he's good but everyone keeps saying that the Sabres need to get bigger and stronger. So? How does this make sense? I like Hodgson but it cost us Kassian. Now we are going to trade for Conacher??? I don't like the goaltenders in Tampa. What else is coming this way? Lots of people are saying that Tampa shouldn't give up their first for Miller. I'm sorry, but what do we get here? Ha Ha
I still think they should keep Miller and rebuild around him...not add MORE small forwards, and late round draft picks, for a goaltender who is the ONLY reason this team isn't being blown out nightly....the ONLY player who seems to be pissed off when the Sabres lose. Trade away the other dead weight on this team and consider re-signing Miller next year...at a lower cap hit.
