What happens when you write up good stuff. Garth gets comments from people making fun of him for being an idiot. Your getting positive hits. But I guess negative hits are good. Such a shame. - poisondhearts37

Solving our goaltending problems and creating a huge problem on defense doesn't make sense. If Yzerman makes a big trade, he'll deal from a position of strength (the wing). - Michael_Stuart
Yea I know... just throwing it out there.
I can see a trade for St. Louis!!! |

On a side note. I hope the Kings offer Bernier package to Calg for Iggy and we can resign him for the rest of his career. And then get Bulin to back up Quick. |

I figure if Miller gets traded, Darcy first has to be sure he's going to get a goalie with the future. With that in mind, I think the trades would have to be this:
BUF-LA
Buffalo gets:
Bernier
Pick/Prospect
LA gets:
Pominville
BUF-TB
Tampa gets:
Miller
Buffalo gets:
Connolly/Conacher
Pick/Prospect - BuffSabs88
Looks good to me but fans will want 1st round picks in this years draft. Doubtful they part with Conacher

I just think it'd be difficult to get Tampa's first round pick. If we try to get it, I expect we have to include more in the trade than Miller. |

every some guy that has a little success at the beginning is always compared to St Louis and Fleury.....I wonder why no other names are ever brought up. |

Make me an offer. Canuck fans know I like Luongo. - Michael_Stuart
Luongo, AV for Jon Cooper. If you'd like to throw in Pouliot as well, that could work but we'll take what we can get right now. Every Canuck proposal seems to have Booth going the other way so why not. |

A little success? He won an AHL championship, AHL MVP, and AHL rookie of the year in the same season. How many folks with MVP and rookie of the year in the same year? Not too many. He's leading all rookies in points this year in the NHL right now and he has fit in seamlessly. Give the guy some credit. |

Haha I love it! Jon is ours though. Any coach who comes in with that "hates to lose more than he likes to win" label is good with me. |

Here is what everyone needs to be aware of with talking about picks and prospects for Miller. Tampa will be 2 Million over the cap with Miller and need to fill 1 forward and 1 defensive spot on the roster. Benoit Pouliot their biggest RFA which will get about 2 Million in a new deal. So Tampa will have to shed some salary somewhere.
This is what I am thinking because it will put Tampa in the best position for next year and will give them 2 Mill in cap space at the end of the trade for next year.
Miller, Leopold and a 2nd for Hedman, Connolly and a 1st. That is a likely deal because the only 2 other players that will give Tampa more than 2 Million in cap space is Malone or Purcell. Malone injury very unlikely to be traded until he is healthy, and Purcell is too key to TB offense right now. Hedman Its a good young player and is starting to come into his own but is not there year. Leopold for this years playoffs will be good enough to step into Hedman's shoes and then free up cap space later for Miller's 6.25 cap hit. Tampa cannot get by without Buffalo either eating cap space which is not very likely at all or making a hockey trade. |

I watched Conacher play at Canisius. He excelled at the AHL level and is leading rookies this year. Flash in the pan? I'm sorry but you seem to be uneducated. |

I just have seen Gerbe do similar stuff and fade to nothing, baker, AHL rookie of the year, get like 15 goals in the final two and half months of his rookie season, and then slip into nothingness. |

Trading Hedman for a goaltender will not happen.

To be honest, AHL MVP and rookie of the year do not mean too much. They are really impressive but take a look at the recent AHL MVPs and the list is not too impressive. Same with the AHL rookie of the year. I mean, the Sabres had 3 AHL rookies of the year in their minor league team for 3 straight years and only 1 of them is doing well. |
