Done deal. I think that's tilted towards the Lightning though. - Michael_Stuart
I'm actually not sure the cap numbers on that work Btw. You would probably have to throw in a roster player |

Only if we trade Pommer and Regehr to LA for Toffoli and Bernier - LetsGoBuffalo75
LOL. Talk about a one sided trade. Kings dont wanna go backwards in value. RR doesnt have huge value. Pommer has some decent value im sure. Maybe he and Bernier are a wash. Calg gave you a 2nd to take RR and they took back two crappy career AHL'ers. |

I figured. This is why I can't see a deal being worked out unless one side is willing to get taken to the cleaners so they can acquire someone they really want. In other words for this deal to work someone has to lose this deal. - Sabresfan-365
Agree with your last statement. These two teams don't make great trading partners for any number of reasons. Being future division rivals doesn't help either. |

Maybe? Ouch... Bernier has less than 1 full season under his belt (48 games). He hasn't proved nearly enough to be a wash with a 70 pt veteran that can play on both sides of the puck... |

Throw in Luke Adam to TB, and lower the 1st to a 2nd. - Jawallstar1
If MIller is moved, you can guarantee we are getting a 1st in the trade. Look at what Varlamov and Lindback have fetched. |

None of them are 32. Both are very young with many moons to go. Maybe next years first. |

Once again, "a first" is so easy to say, but a top-5 pick is worth a lot when you want to add a guy like Cory Conacher to that package. Trading a top-5 pick, Teddy Purcell and Cory Conacher for Ryan Miller isn't smart management. Considering Steve Yzerman went to the Detroit School of Management, that sort of deal won't happen. |

Trades ARE one-sided at the trade deadline.
Look what Pittsburgh gave up for Morrow and Murray. |

I figure if Miller gets traded, Darcy first has to be sure he's going to get a goalie with the future. With that in mind, I think the trades would have to be this:
BUF-LA
Buffalo gets:
Bernier
Pick/Prospect
LA gets:
Pominville
BUF-TB
Tampa gets:
Miller
Buffalo gets:
Connolly/Conacher
Pick/Prospect

Solving our goaltending problems and creating a huge problem on defense doesn't make sense. If Yzerman makes a big trade, he'll deal from a position of strength (the wing). |

Difference is people are calling us about Bernier. We arent calling them to move him. Pommer doesnt fit out bill anyhow. Id like him over Williams. But not in a Bernier trade. Let alone with Toffili. If we arent giving that kid up for Iggy than def not for Pommer. |

He could just give it to Enroth for now and figure the goalie situation out in the summer.

I think Regehr actually does have a lot of value. Murrary from the Sharks just went for two 2nd round picks so I think Regehr is worth a lot. He's a solid defensive defenseman who can kill the penalty, block shots, and play top minutes. |

LA needs a goalie to come back from somewhere. And its gonna have to be capable of being a backup. Not some random AHL thing a team digs up. Only deal I could see LA making with Buffalo is for RR.
Like a Martinez for RR type deal.

Come on T-Bay - You need a goalie who's going to be with you for a while and who will love to play in Florida. Do we have the goalie for you - and he won't cost you much. |

We def know what RR could do. But he isnt playing that well. Murray is playing better for sure. Not to mention Murray was obviously worth more to Pitt's. They went for him instead of RR. RR hasnt exactly done anything special for the Sabres. He def hasnt helped with Myer's development. |

Miller has many years to go too, and none where nearly as established as Miller, and if miller lands their, it most likely wont be a top five pick |

True. Now that you mention it, it's not a bad idea to trade Miller at the deadline and test Enroth out for the last 15 games or so. That way we'll have a good chance to test Enroth and see if hecan be our future goalie or not. If not then we just work on getting a new one. |

What happens when you write up good stuff. Garth gets comments from people making fun of him for being an idiot. Your getting positive hits. But I guess negative hits are good. Such a shame. |
