Ryan Miller & Tyler Myers
for
Victor Hedman, Cory Conacher, Teddy Purcell, and a 2015 1st-Round Pick - Jawallstar1
I view that as ridiculously tilted towards the Sabres, but again I'm biased. |

Just did a quick read through the comments and I saw a lot of you guys saying that Yzerman wouldn't to give up a first and + for Miller.
Just wanted to let you know that I don't think this is true because on WGR this morning they were saying how Regehr's trade of Gaustad for a 1st last year has set the standards for trades this year. It was confirmed that most teams are looking at that trade and setting the bar at that kind of trade value in return for a player.
With that in mind I think Miller could fetch a lot from Tampa. - BuffSabs88
Doesnt mean it has to be a 1st. And it isnt to devalue Miller. This is just a good draft as everyone knows. Dont think anyone is suggesting Connolly straight up. Perhaps another prospect or two. and mid draft picks.
On a side note. Its gonna be awsome when Vancouver has to buy out Lou because no one wants to pay that price. And someone signs him to a nice deal and he lives happily ever after. |

The goalie market is always a different thing altogether and right now it's crap. |

my two cents
miller, leopold, gerbe and a second for conolly, lindback, panik and a first - homiedclown
I like the look of that deal more than others I've seen, but make it next year's first. |

Throw in Luke Adam to TB, and lower the 1st to a 2nd. |

If Vancouver would eat a ton of Lu's cap hit or buy him out, you can bet Yzerman would be all over him. Contract is terrible, but he's a great goalie. |

Lecavlier, Lindback, and a pick for Miller and Girgensons? Buffalo has too many young centers to make room for all of them, and Cody Hodgson's proved he's not going anywhere. I understand the off-ice value Lecavlier has and that he's a great leader, but I'm not a Tampa fan (or a Buffalo fan, for that matter), so don't bite my head off if I'm way wrong, haha. It just seems like a deal that would really help both teams. |

Ayyee you're starting to pull a darcy regier here (I'm Joking Obviously)
How about:
Ryan Miller, Drew Stafford, Andrej Sekera, 2nd round pick for
Brett Connolly, Vladislav Namestnikov, and insert mid level prospect here. |

The money isnt actually bad at all. Hes still one of the best goalies in the game. Its the term that is getting everyone. People seem to think hes making more than he is. Hockey needs what football has. Being able to renegotiate a contract. His salary is fine im sure most teams are fine with that. Just not a deal of that length. Esp from a Bolts perspective with Vasilevki coming. |

We got Girgensons to GAIN centers, and it seems odd that Lecavalier and Lindback are both on IR???

I think Yzerman would be foolish not to at least consider that deal. As much as I love Lecavalier, his contract could come back to haunt this team for years. I don't know that Buffalo would ever want to take it on. |

No I know he's making $5.3M, but for the next thousand years. It's a manageable cap hit right now, but will it be manageable in five years? That's what I'm worried about. |

I figured. This is why I can't see a deal being worked out unless one side is willing to get taken to the cleaners so they can acquire someone they really want. In other words for this deal to work someone has to lose this deal. |

Terrible trade for Buffalo. Sabres would get a sub-par goalie back and a 32 year old center that they don't need. Hodgson and Ennis are already their top 2 centers. |
