If they trade TT it has to be for a young stud in return and no rental!!
- Greek7

yep, if Bowman offers up TT in the Iginla trade, its a colossal misstep.

TT is already regarded to be a massive steal for the blackhawks in last years draft, and they are about to give it away for a rental?

My question JJ.....if Bowman gets fired because of lack of success in the play offs.....who out there with any value would want this job? Maybe Eddie O??? That is almost a step back.....

No, at least not in North America

So there's a package of Vishnevskiy, Makarov and Shalunov going the other way. Is that how I read this?

Do you think that if they lose tonight, will it speed up any deals they "might" have on the table? Or do they delay yet again until Sharp and Hoss come back to re-evaluate?

JJ...have the Hawks given any indication if Iginla will be a true rental or would they find a way to re-sign him?

Edit: Would there be anything coming back to Chicago along with Iginla? If we give up TT would we get a prospect back?

JJ

McNeil, Clendenning or Bickell and a 4th should be enough. Feaster will not get a Subban type prospect. Good Prospects are way more miss than hit. I would not include Bolland or Stalberg in this trade. Bolland's playoff experience is needed and Stalberg's speed kills.

- Greek7

Teravainen is a Subban type prospect and that is apparently what they are offering.

Too much IMO. Should be McNeil and a pick.

Well, my friend, there is evidence the Hawks might agree with you

I'm not sure how to feel about being on the same page with the Hawks' "brainstrust".

My interpretation of JJs comments the last few days suggests the Hawks are only interested past this season. Meaning they do not want a rental...so the deal would have this as part of it.

Shalunov did have a good tournament showing for Russia - perhaps his stock is higher than the relative dearth of "buzz" around him amongst Hawks fans.

You know, while I care . . .

I really don't if it means there's a parade to attend in Chicago in June. Can't worry about the future if moving a piece that is only promise today for sake of the CUP this year is a trade I make.

We b!tch and b!tch about Stanley having no stones to make a deal. Then we get wind of him MAKING a deal but including TT and the crowd goes nuts??????????????

Can't have it both ways guys.

I almost sh!t myself at last years convention when McDonough said he was going to be more involved in hockey operations. Prayed to God that didn't mean roster decisions. Thanks for nothin', God.

Stop including Bolland
in trades. Nobody wants him and his health issues plus his salary.

Whenever Bolland is moved -- summer or next season-- a prospect will have shown enough to take his job. Even if the prospect is not exactly in the Bolland mold. Some team may actually take Bolland for a third at best. It would be in the give away sort of trade -- take a bag of pucks as renumeration.

You cannot fool other GM about Bolland. This despite a lack of centers around the league? To be precise, there is a lack of centers - quality second line centers. It is foolish to guess that Bolland would ever have a career year. Not with his health. This is unfortunate for Bolland because I really believe he just rarely plays at 100% health.

Also this summer McDonough is likely going to need Stan to have satisfactory answers to a few questions. 1) why so many no trade contracts-- necessary or poor negotiation; 2). Does the Detroit model work? Even Detroit is more physical. How is Detroit able to compete well against physical teams, but not us?; and 3). Why is special teams, especially the power play, so inconsistent each year? You brought in Kompon. You have elite players.

As for the power play, a coach needs control how he wants his players to do as told. I understand we do not have the right fit with Keithb& Seabrook lacking preresiquite skill for pp. But I ask: for too long do the players do most part what they want & ignore instruction. And why each season never consistently man in front of net. Now refer to Eddie O comment the other day. Yes, first round exit. Maybe some personnel on roster and front office soon Aldo would exit?

Throwing in TT is way too much for a rental. If TT is available, Stan should make it known to all the teams and I bet we get someone very good and younger.

I'm just fine with sacrificing part of the future if it improves this team's chances of winning a cup now!

Bob McKenzie is on record saying the Bruins will not trade Subban or Spooner in any deal involving Iginla.

MEMO to John McDonough.

Wanna win a Cup? Hire a competent, experienced GM. Let him do his job. If he doesn't replace him.

The end.

I take it you polled the other 29 GM's in the league on this?
