iginla...now jagr...i don't get it...says to me concerns about hossa or sharp

these aren't guys you get to improve faceoffs/pk etc

- bogiedoc

Fits the profile - pending UFA, glimmer of past greatness, name recognition, relatively low outbound expense.

Jim Belushi last night, Mr. T tonight? I'd rather see a random guy from the stands.

You know what? If Boston is the last team in the room and they're just working out some details, it's basically a done deal.

Just back from the Mississauga junior game....after being blown out in games 1 and 2, the local lads have tied up the series after handing Malcolm Subban and the Belleville Bulls a 5-2 loss.

Subban's a decent tender...but if the B's opt to keep him instead of snaring Iginla...THEY'RE IDIOTS. Boston is set in goal with Rask and the other kid for a long time. Subban was mediocre in the world juniors and IMO..is too small to be a real, impact NHL'er.

Nice to see the boys with a 2-0 lead after 40...but judging by the comments...they haven't looked good ? Booooooooo.

Roar...don't take this personally...but i'm going off...y'all are entitled to your opinion...but John McDonough has been PHUCKING PHENOMENAL for our beloved franchise.

I was just reflecting on the Black Hole years between '97 and '08. McDonough and Rocky and Dale totally turned that GIANT PHUCKING BALL OF poop around....i believe they deserve RESPECT and not DERISION.

What's the problemo with John McD ? Please enlighten me.

because why?
are the hawks becoming the next del webb development community?
seeing a pattern here....chase iggy, oh too bad
chase jagr, too bad
THEY DON'T NEED GERIATRICS!!!
They need a C who can win faceoffs
they need a player who can play the PP in front of the net
they can can both of those guys in one brian boyle - yep, slow - much better than mr hayes and probably faster too
once again, the hawks are asking about players, let the word get out and...cue stanley...."we like our team AS IS"

- dpard

Just the ticket - glacial Brian Boyle not a HOF player like Jagr with 999 assists. Ask Claude Giroux who he'd rather have on his wing.

Is anyone else nervous that we're starting the third 2 goals up AND on a PP?

For this team, that could seriously spell disaster.

I heard Boston finally agreed to give them Subban or Spooner and that was it. Now hearing maybe not. Hawks did have a very nice offer on the table.

He often times meddled in the Cubs organization on the baseball side and made dexisions for profit over on the field product. Sometimes it seems he is doing the same with the Hawks. He has served his purpose though.

BTW, now hearing from multiple sources. Boston has the "basic parameters" of a deal with Calgary.
- John Jaeckel

I guess I'm going to become one of "those" people........but seriously if he does nothing or makes another Campoli deal how can he stand up there and say "we like our team"......the last two years he has said that and they crapped the bed.....he also said moving Campbell would give them the ability to add more pieces around the deadline. When is the media of Chicago going to call him out and do some actual reporting and not kiss the a&s of the organization? Questions to ask....

If you like your team, what is your opinion of the power play and why did you add nothing to improve it?
You've said "we like our team" the past two years and as a result you were eliminated in the first round of the play offs, what makes you think this year will be different?
Why didn't you address any immediate needs such as someone who can win face offs or create a net presence?
What do you say to the fans if you end exiting the play offs early this year?
If there is an early exit do you expect to keep your job?
