I dont see Murray playing tomorrow he is not skating with a D pairing. He is skating with Kadar. Thats weird. - nbartley9
He's a heavy dude...245 pounds...you probably need a little bit more time to get in game conditioning. I wanna see him on the ice already! |

You can't tell me that bringing Brenden Morrow in wasn't the reason for that fight and the good game last night out of Kennedy. TK is now fighting for a 3rd line job on this team. In return, you'd hope it would have a trickle down effect to Tanner Glass, because he could end up being the odd man out. |

Oneonta, I thought this would be something you HAVE to comment on...about E.Kane..
There is no player on the Chicago roster that Winnipeg would do a one for one deal, including Toews. Toews would be of interest because he is a Winnipeg boy but the Hawks would have to add something to the package.
There are very few players in the entire league that would entice me to deal Kane.
Stamkos yes
Tavares yes
Karlsson yes
Doughty maybe
Crosby maybe but worry about head trauma
Giroux no
Some of the Edmonton kids no, never,
Bobby Ryan you joke
Power forwards are exceptional. They don't hit their prime till they are about 26. This kid is still four to five years away from peak performance and people are thinking that he could be a trade deadline player. Absurd!

Dupuis is a humble guy, knows his role and loves Pittsburgh.... he isn't asking for 3 million or more... I could see him coming in at 2 mil. |

He also said after the Olympics, he will be on par with Stamkos as THE elite sniper in the NHL |

People don't realize that Kane is a late birthday. He is nearly a full year younger than some of the kids in his draft class. He had a 30 goal season as a teenager. The reason why his name comes up is because insiders understand that this is huge talent.
I am aware of Doughty's supposed struggles. But, the few games I have seen him in recently he has looked pretty good and #1 D men are so precious. I am a huge fan of Giroux. No offense intended but I just believe Kane is going to be that big a difference maker.
As I noted earlier. I believe that Kane will come out of Sochi with the reputation as the top sniper in the game (on a par with Stamkos). |

This is a silly paragraph.... if you're gonna trade Kane its because he has personality problems... so you're already trading from a lower position. first of all Stamkos, Crosby and Tavares are and always will be better than Kane... They don't even belong on the same page. I would say no to the rest of the people on the list but I would do it for Yakupov maybe....
*Toews* I didn't see... but him plus for Kane is silly |

Here is my list of forwards for Team Canada and 3 substitutes:
Crosby - Stamkos - Perry (1st line)
Tavares - E.Staal - Nash (2nd line)
Toews - Giroux - Neal (3rd line)
Getzlaf - Benn - E.Kane (4th line)
Bergeron - Marleau - Eberle (subs)
Didn't make the cut: Hall, Seguin, Thornton, Clarkson, Kunitz..
I'm always missing someone..
Does it look good? |

Murray is strictly a rental. I get that sense from Shero's comments. We shall see. - Oneonta Penguin
Probably so. Giving up that 2nd rounder instead of a 3rd may have something to do with it. If he performs well though, who knows? Could be interesting. |

It looks great but don't you think the bottom lines might look a bit different? Not saying they should but I think they might end up being that way. At this rate Giroux shouldn't be on the team.
- HopintheCordoba
that's mean with our comrades in Philly.
I threw Benn/Kane on the 4th because they are big buys and can hit...
Btw....maybe Neal should be a sub...Marleau in his place... |

James Neal does not deserve to be a starter on Team Canada nor does his skill set benefit the team. I would take Eberle - Bergeron - Marleau or Mike Richards over Neal |

As much as I think they are douche bags, I think Carter and Richards in LA make it. Carter is having a big year as a sniper and Richards would be your 3rd-line checker/PK'er.
Not sure about the lines, but I'd definetly have Crosby as a C. Better at Faceoffs than a lot of others on that list. |

True. Without an elite C, he isn't the same player. Canada does have a lot of those, but others are more deserving. |
