because it's toronto. the same bunch who were willing to hate JVR two games into the season, the same bunch that ragged on kadri for years and said he should be traded. pretty much the same bunch that bashed luke.

i never had any complaints with him. the ceiling is sky high with that kid. he doesn't look great defensively on one of the worst defensive teams in the nhl, and people are begging to drive him out of town?

the schenns growing together will result in them being a force. so yes, we'll take luke back.. + younger brother for phaneuf. i'm sure nonis would try to squeeze another mcginn type prospect in. but i'd be happy with the brothers.. and start looking for other ways to replace phaneuf.

hard to say. phaneuf and locker room issues seem to follow each other, but it's hard to believe everything you hear, right?

i was skeptical about the calgary rumours, but throw in the rumblings about the schenn beefs, and i'm convinced his ego may be a bit of an issue.

i think big schenn will turn out to be better captain material in the nhl than phaneuf someday.

The Phaneuf rumors about being a bad locker room presence aren't really disputed. Doesn't mean that it's a thing endemic to him as a player, but there was clearly a crisis of leadership in Calgary at the time he was dealt. He was especially pissed, reportedly, when Bouwmeester got an A and he didn't (granted, I can take his side on this, but he also conflicted with Regehr and Iginla I guess.) In Toronto, I don't think he has the same problem, he's the undisputed captain as far as I can tell.

StanBo wont dish out more than 1 prospect for him, danault and TT are untouchable, id prolly say stalberg and frolik, a 1rst and pirri is max flames would get, but imo the major deal is between hawks n habs, stars for stars
