I don't see it as that. Sure the Bruins would benefit immediately with Iginla. Calgary should go through a rebuild and with Spooner they get a #2 center for the future and a 1st in a deep draft.

I don't see a late first round pick and a prospect whose only had a cup of coffee in the NHL getting the deal done. At the very least Bos would have to throw in a top 6 fwd.

Hecht has been absolutely worthless this year. Always a step or two behind, pathetic weak backhand shots. Isn't a defensive liability, but also isn't much of a positive there either. Why would any contender want Hecht?

for a 35 year old rental? maybe for a guy in his late 20's early 30's sure but not Iginla. Sure he brings intangibles with him like leadership but there is no way Iginla get's Calgary a top 6 forward+Spooner+1st. Best they can hope for is a top 9 forward going their way.
