I don't hate the Oilers or their fans, but that 3 1st overall picks in a row was just absolutely ridiculous...

For anyone who argues that there wasn't any collusion or conspiring, I say that it's almost a sheer statistical impossibility that it happened by chance, 3 years in a row... I just look at the context of the Oilers the past 7 seasons, and I'm almost positive the NHL stepped in to "save/assist" the Oilers so they didn't bottom-out and potentially die. Ironically, the same thing happened in Pittsburgh I suspect, with the team owing Mario tons of money, being near the bottom in attendance (which the Oilers are not), and a mess financially, they had to.

Hmmmm, how do you save a franchise? By selevtively giving them priority picks....

If Nonis wanted to keep him, he still would've said "No" instead of exposing him to waivers and risking him being picked up (as minimal as the risk is). Komisarek doesn't control whether the team waives him.

Bryz is another lump of crap to do with Phillies tending. They are a very well run organization but have always made huge misjudgements with the goaltending.

Honestly, I'd probably agree with you in almost any other case, but I don't blame this on Bryz at all. If you've watched the Flyers this season, he hasn't been the reason we're losing. Sure we over-committed on term, I'll agree there, but his play, for the most part, has been more than enough to win games with the talent we have on the roster.

His cap hit is pretty much exactly what a goalie with his numbers would have gotten anywhere else, minus the term. His numbers don't reflect his play this year, but moreso the team's inability to play sound hockey for a full game.

Yeah, they are, but lets take the bigger picture into context. The Flyers are BY FAR a superior organization... Have they had troubles this season, obviously.

Philly will be fine, but this year they probly have to take a step back. Losing IMO the best d man in the league would set any team back.

Also look for a possible Kyle Beach for Joe Colborne deal between the Leafs and Blackhawks.

No. Beach would be a 4th line goon at best in the NHL. He can't score and his skating is suspect. We already have Orr and McLaren.
