So...while we pass the time...

Here are my top 5:
1 - Twix
2 - Mars
3 - Snickers
4 - Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
5 - Mr.Big

- Fols19

Mine is more like:
1)Snickers
2)Oh Henry
3)Eat More
4)ButterFinger
5)Crunchie

Reese's is good but I usually can't eat more than 1 or 2 before I get sick of the taste. Other notable mentions are Mars, Twix, Kit-Kat and Caramilk

The Kipper to TO rumor was Kipper for Reimer or Scrivens and a 1st.

That's what i read anyways

- Sam67

No thanks to including a first. Take Grabs and Reimer.

Lets just say it better be Reimer

Either way...I dont think that's enough for the Flames. What about Bozak and First?

- The-O-G

oops forgot to add that Kipper would sign a two year 5 mil per extension

Could Bruno Gervais or Matt Walker be the missing piece? I think so.

Could also be that Komi asked for this.

Not necessarily done from the Leafs side.

With Holzer and Reilly in the AHL though it seems unlikely that they would want Komi to take minutes away from them

- itsalwaysfunny

I totally agree with everyone saying that he may have asked for it, but even if he waives his NMC, it's the Leafs who decide to demote him. Regardless of whose idea it was, Nonis needed to decide that he didn't mind exposing Komisarek to the (admittedly minimal) risk of being picked up off waivers.

They might be getting him some playing time, as maybe he can bring up his game in the minors and then they can recall him (re-entry waivers no longer exist, after all).

Alls I's sayin' is that it's another Nonis move that I like.

Ya no thanks to that poop. The only way I trade anyone if I'm Nonis is if it means clearing cap space and making more room for young guys. I like Kipper, but not for firsts and with all the extension talk.

he does in a way. with a NMC, there is no point in waiving him, because even if he clears, he can't be sent down, so what would be the point in waiving him....

and IMO, this move is being done to get him some playing time, in order to actually move him. nobody is gonna offer anything for a guy who hasn't played in 2 months, but if he gets sent down, does well in the AHL, then he might get claimed on re-entry, or moved for a low pick or something.

i think this move is probably more about making it possible to move him at the deadline, then it is about some imminent trade..........just a feeling.

- sensarmy_11

Komisarek waived his NMC to either be sent to the minors or traded, but he waived his NMC.

From the TSN article...
"TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger has also reported that Komisarek has waived his no-movement clause. If he is claimed by another NHL club he will report to his new team, otherwise he will report to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League."

Yes he does, he a no Movement clause. Which means he has all the control in this situation
- itsalwaysfunny

He waived his NMC. He's either going to the AHL or he is getting picked up and will go there. Either way he is moving away from the Leafs roster

look at the history of goalie trades and the fact that Kipper statistically hasn't been that good for the last several seasons, it sounds like a pretty good deal to me. I have always felt a late 1st would be the trade ceiling for Kipper

No interest in Bozak. would be satisfied with Reimer + 1st

who had this rumor specifically?

I don't think the Leafs see it as a risk to lose him to waivers though. $4.5 mil off the cap plus not having to pay him anything in the off season. I don't see a team picking him up, but you really never know.

I mean what would the return be in a trade. Maybe a 7th round pick

No I know, I'm not knocking his ability at all, just how the longevity of the trade isn't in TO's favor at all

Yes we all understand this, but the act of waiving the clause was made solely by Komisarek. Without Komi waiving Toronto could not do anything.

Bingo Leafs fans...you have a winner. Komi is getting scratched all the time, so why exactly are they fretting over losing a healthy scratch with a $4.5M cap hit?

Either way I think all leafs fans can agree that Komisarek is one expensive itch

Kessel for Seguin and Hamiton

truculence, belligerence, fortitude

just do Gardiner, Kessel, 2 1sts, Lupul, Kadri for Chara, Thornton, Lucic, McQuaid
