Bottom line ... the only way to improve that franchise is trade the Iggy's, JayBos, Kippers, Stempniaks, Cammelarias or Giordanos, Tanguays and do a complete overhaul. Columbus has three freakin first round draft picks in this draft. Say Calgary gets some nice prospects, one or two more firsts and a few seconds - they can get alot of talent. - Oneonta Penguin
Speaking of Columbus, don't sleep on them next season. Those guys are playing hard every night, and now with a legit front office and a lot of prospects and picks, their arrow is definitely pointing up. |

that is something I would happily agree with you on... and how about Col... they could maybe pick up another 1st or at least 2nds for some of their vets... new gm has no attatchments... they could end up with 5-7 picks in the top 60 this year!

I agree but it will never happen.. they could trade him but i hope he retires on a good note - nh4442
I hope he is traded in the offseason... I dont even want to see him finish out his contract, the last couple seasons you could say he has lost his edge but this year he is just a liability.... I wanna see Depres and Harrington fill his minutes next season, if Harrington is ready obviously. |

Not sleeping on them at all. They have played very hard this year despite a lack of talent. How many one goal games have they been in? Bobrovsky has turned into a good goalie overnight.
Davidson made a great hire with Jarmo. I don't know what his trade philosophy will be but his scouting and ability to pick the right guy when they select is tremendous. Three first rounders in this draft will go along way. Then again, they might not have a top 10 pick with the way they are playing.

As much hate as I've thrown Disco's way, he's got them playing good tight checking hockey the last few. Great win! Would be nice to have the 3rd or 4th line chip one in....especially in a game like this. |

I'm on board for making the moves to get the team ready for a cup run. If that's Iggy then do it.
However I think the moves need to address the 4th line speed and physicality. Plus a dman that plays with an edge. I think the price for these parts will be much cheaper than going for Iggy, plus if we get him where does he play? I'm not touching Sid's line, they are sick and clutch and fierce right now. FREAKIN DUPER man!!!
If you put him with Malkin holy well you are in for 2 dominant lines but Bennett in the Bottom 6 doesn't fly with me and doesn't help the 4th line at all. |

Hey Adams with a shorty!!!
The 4th line looks like they are killing a penalty at even strength.

Beginning to think Orpik will be the odd man out come this offseason. I really thought he would bounce back this year and it just hasn't happened. |

I think Shero has learned from last year. We need a little tinkering, nothing huge. If he goes 2 years without doing anything at the deadline and we go 1 and done again. It will look a little foolish.
I'd even settle for a PK specialist that gives us better minutes than Glass. |

I'm not saying that Sid didn't play solid D'efore, but ever since Milbury made the 'crack addicts' comment, Sid's D has went to another level |

Leave it to a Leaf fan to suggest a 3 way trade in a league where they rarely happen. |

I hope any trade involving a potential Perry and Pittsburgh combo, lands him here and not to a 3rd team |

All depends on the amount of room that is created for him by Malkin.... Neal is a bit of a floater and needs to stop his upward skating stance... put his head down and start hitting some bodies. Bennett puts in a better effort some times he just doesnt have the strength. I would be looking for Glencross and 4th line help to replace Glass... he is very ineffective. I would be happy with that lineup going into the playoffs. I think there will be some close eyes on Bennett to see if they have the faith in him... I like his effort level, he just needs Malkin on his line |

He seemed to be finding a groove with Geno and Neal before Geno went down, I don't see why he wouldn't. |
