There hiring offices are in Toronto. What happens is they hire you, then in April they bus you all up with your camp supervisors (once university usually ends).
You won't get caught in a lie, but if you're not comfortable, don't lie. I guess just don't worry or fret about, unless they've already hired their quota, I can't see why all 7 of those companies will take you. To Treeplanting companies you're just a body to finish a contract. Ie. a huge clear cut will be zoned for say 150,000 trees, and there will be almost 20 of you going in and you'll finish that plot in 4 days and move onto the next contract.
One other thing, the first few weeks are going to suck, you're going to ask yourself why you're up there. Most treeplanting companies start with the hardest contracts because they know they're not going to blow through them. Just keep working away, before long you'll be planting 2000-3000 trees, maybe more. And when you hit the cream, you'll be like this is the best ever. The only reason I stopped going was I met my future wife one year....and she wouldn't let me go. - mykokes
Cool,, yeah i think ill stick to being honest.. Im not too worried about sucking, i know i will for a little while but i always persevere. |

Who cares what his agent tweets? He''s an asset to the team. He should learn that being in the NHL is not just about talent, it is about politics, and attitude.
There are tons of kids good enough for the NHL that aren't in the NHL, because they don't interview well, they don't look or act the part. Comments like "nobody wants to be iin the AHL" have to be worded correctly. He should have said "There's a great bunch of guys on this team and some elite talent at this level, but that is not what I dreamed about growing up. I want to be in the NHL and will do everything nessessary to prove I belong there."
That being said Carlyle has stuck to his experiment long enough. He is turning into Wilson by sticking with players that are not doing their jobs. It is not a personality contest to coach in the NHL. He must stick to his guns and ice the most productive team as he said he would, or he'll lose respect.
Kessel scored 2 last night but didn't play at both ends of the ice.
Gunnerson and Holzer are making to many mistakes and lacking a full 60 min effort. Kostka and Frazer are still playing good enough to stay in the line up. Liles, Komi and Gardiner deserve another shot.
Frattin looked rusty and his timing was off.
Grabo, Kuli are good defensively but are paid way to much for a third line roll. Grabo on the faceoff dot is horrible.
I think Kulemin has value still, Grabo will be difficult to move with his salary. Grabo, Bozak and Kadri on the same team does not make sense. |

This is getting to be nearly parodical.
He shows up, plays 25 tough minutes, takes care of his responsibilities, then fights the other team's captain for good measure (and to answer all those criticisms about his leadership).
But he gets blamed for not making a guy like Bozak more competent on the power play? He's not David Copperfield. He can't make Grabovski and Kulemin magically re-appear. - Leeman4Gilmour
I don't know if Bozak even got the opportunity to touch the puck on that 5 on 3, except to retrieve and give it back to the 3 guys at the point, who weren't able to do very much. |

I had a friend who went up with me, and liked it so much they had him all over Canada, and then he went to Austrailia....I think he cleared 30,000 in 5 months, and by clear, that's after taxes and camp costs and food costs. I wanted to go home for Edgefest instead in late June. - mykokes
That's not nice mykokes....sheesh...give the guy a carrot or something. |

Franson couldn't shoot, he was a right handed shot on his strong side, so the one-timer wasn't an option, when it should be bread and butter in those situations.
You switch Dion and Franson's positions on that PP, and suddenly we have Franson, who can rip it with little back-swing, and actually hit the net.
Meanwhile, Dion would be in a one-timer position. - AngryWhiteMale
well then, sir, your issue is with Carlyle, not Dion |

In buddys defense, I highly doubt Carlyle is preaching stay stationary with the puck on a 5 on 3 and be patient for an opening to take that slapshot of yours instead of moving the puck.... |

He gets 6.5m per, 25 min/g and basically a full 5 on 3 at the point, to make a bigger contribution than +/-. We have Frazer for that.
Hell, Byfuglien shot one off that big dumb khazak in front, and wound up with a goal, I don't think he had many shots after that now that I think about it, but it did the job - AngryWhiteMale
