He has Kessel to thank for that. Y'know, the guy everyone says was one-dimensional, so now we need Corey Perry instead.
Dion got lucky on a couple turnovers I was not thrilled about. He needed to bury on that 5 on 3. Kessel had no shooting lane, and a simple one-timer with traffic in front is how you need to play it. The guy simply cannot hit the net in the same way Franson does.
...As for top guys doing their jobs: there was Grabs missing a chance to make it 2-1 Leafs, instead the Jets turn around and make it 2-1. He's paid money to bank those - AngryWhiteMale
C'mon. You can't see the humor in Phaneuf not being on the ice for any of the goals against and still getting dumped on?
That's almost too perfect a summation of the way some fans see him.
Maybe we should blame Komisarek for last night, too? |

All the Jets did on the PK was stand in front of Phaneuf = 2 (frank)ing guys side by side at top of slot. how's he supposed to shoot through that?
Pavelic made a hell of a save on Grabo. Bozak's wide open wrister into his chest pissedme off more.

Yes to help anchor Canada to a gold at the WJC. Wonder if the Leafs try convince the Moose to trade Reilly East to keep a closer eye on him. Do they have such pull? |

He gets 6.5m per, 25 min/g and basically a full 5 on 3 at the point, to make a bigger contribution than +/-. We have Frazer for that.
Hell, Byfuglien shot one off that big dumb khazak in front, and wound up with a goal, I don't think he had many shots after that now that I think about it, but it did the job |

All depends on his play in camp, a lot of variables like who is still here and who gets shipped out. To say he will definitely not be on the team at this moment is quite frankly foolish and speculative. |

Seeing how it was a 5 on 3, if you have 2 guys on front of you, then that basically means a 4 on 1 down low if you do it properly |

Grabs should have been able to lift the puck, but was a bit off-balance and it was too tight to get it up.
Uusally grabs only gets his shot to the upper half of the net if he gets a full win-up through |

well, no, cause Kessel and Franson are wide, so 2-1 in front.... which is why he kept dishing to Franson, who wouldn't shoot, and Kessel, who kept trying the cross crease pass to JVR...

No man... (frank) Team Canada and the WJC... It's just too much pressure on the guys to perform. If he's on the team he's gonna be the focal point of all the scrutiny. Every year we get all pumped to watch the WJC and we all talk poop about how good Canada will be. It's stupid. |

K cool thanks.. They are probably all in Northern Ontario eh? I can't really lie and say i have worked with another company because i have no idea how to do it..
The Apply link isn't working
oh well - Arctic_AARDVARK
There hiring offices are in Toronto. What happens is they hire you, then in April they bus you all up with your camp supervisors (once university usually ends).
You won't get caught in a lie, but if you're not comfortable, don't lie. I guess just don't worry or fret about, unless they've already hired their quota, I can't see why all 7 of those companies will take you. To Treeplanting companies you're just a body to finish a contract. Ie. a huge clear cut will be zoned for say 150,000 trees, and there will be almost 20 of you going in and you'll finish that plot in 4 days and move onto the next contract.
One other thing, the first few weeks are going to suck, you're going to ask yourself why you're up there. Most treeplanting companies start with the hardest contracts because they know they're not going to blow through them. Just keep working away, before long you'll be planting 2000-3000 trees, maybe more. And when you hit the cream, you'll be like this is the best ever. The only reason I stopped going was I met my future wife one year....and she wouldn't let me go.
I had a friend who went up with me, and liked it so much they had him all over Canada, and then he went to Austrailia....I think he cleared 30,000 in 5 months, and by clear, that's after taxes and camp costs and food costs. I wanted to go home for Edgefest instead in late June. |

Franson couldn't shoot, he was a right handed shot on his strong side, so the one-timer wasn't an option, when it should be bread and butter in those situations.
You switch Dion and Franson's positions on that PP, and suddenly we have Franson, who can rip it with little back-swing, and actually hit the net.
Meanwhile, Dion would be in a one-timer position. |

This is getting to be nearly parodical.
He shows up, plays 25 tough minutes, takes care of his responsibilities, then fights the other team's captain for good measure (and to answer all those criticisms about his leadership).
But he gets blamed for not making a guy like Bozak more competent on the power play? He's not David Copperfield. He can't make Grabovski and Kulemin magically re-appear. |
