How is Carolina in third? If we sneak into the playoffs I hope we get those guys first round.

Nino looked strong tonight, but should have finished a gimme in the third. He did get a goal earlier though, and was around the net a lot in the second making things happen. Ullstrom got the OT winner...tap in on the PP off a really nice pass by Nelson.

Nino and Nelson cannot get here soon enough. Hopefully with the trade deadline coming up there will be room to call them up along with Donovan on D.

Bit more of a jump in Nino's step than in recent games, no? That's about how he looked just before and after the lockout ended. Nelson just steadily gets better. If he hits the weights hard this offseason and puts on some muscle, he'll be a real interesting prospect. Really nice pass on the OT goal...his passing and vision seem to have gotten better since the beginning of the season.

Brock Nelson is going to be a great player, remembered when isles jumped back in the 1st rd to draft him, I was jumping for joy, bc all I heard was Blackhawks & Penguins wanted to draft him, but passed, and read that he was being compared to Stasny or Pavelski...plus American born.....

Simple, The Cane's best offensive line is also a shutdown line with both Eric and Jordan Staal being big strong hockey players. Their +/- is pretty good and they have a strong goaltending even with ward injured. If they lost one of Eric or Jordan this team would quickly plummet towards 7-10th place, no doubt

I wouldnt mind if they played the whole season in the AHL, just to gain experience
but wouldnt mind if they came up, towards the end of our season.
really dont want to rush the kids, rather have them form a chemistry in bridgeport
instead of possibly not being coached right with the clowns that are here

Nassau looking to add a minor league team to the coliseum and renovate it. The stadium will hold 10,000 seats. Soundtigers?

What a bunch of (frank)ing idiots that run that county. I hope it works out in Brooklyn. I'm not convinced it will especially if the team isn't any good. Im not complaining but the fact is many current season ticket holders won't be attending nearly as many games due to logistics, myself included. Ill certainly make that sacrifice for a better team but I fear it will never be the same.

Because they are in first place in a lousy division....that's one of the reasons why they wanted to change the format, right there...

That's all Nassau ever wanted, which is why it has always treated this one as such. Buh-bye...

It would have to be Nino.....Nelson is a center...that said, most likely, Joensuu will get a shot if he's ready, and if not, they'll bring back Ullstrom. Grabner is a RW, and unfortunately, there are some other guys who should be sent down who can't be. Personally, I'd waive Reasoner and bring up Nelson....that'd be my first move. Second would be to sh*t can our minor league coach and AT LEAST replace him with Weight, who will AT LEAST yell at someone once in a while, and hold him accountable for his actions. Then I'd try to trade Okposo (maybe with Visnovsky) in some sort of package for a good, young defenseman who maybe doesn't figure into a contending team's plans for this year, and bring up Nino. I think Nino has been cr*p lately because he's bored. It's time for him to get his shot on at least line two up here, instead of playing with losers like he did last year.

That's what I'd do; I've been thinking about this a lot for the last couple of days- this team needs a wake up call. They simply can't have whole periods like the second the other night, where they completely forget about basic hockey concepts like defense. That has to end, and canning the coach and shipping out one of the guys wearing the "A" would send a signal that the party is over.

nino has been good the past two weeks...i think he can be successful because he score alot of dirty ugly goals. nelson keeps getting better...his vision and his skating have improved greatly...he still needs to get stronger but he is really progressing nicely
