I don't think Kaleta should get a letter. He doesn't have the skill, and he will always be a 4th liner. I love Kaleta though, and honestly he would have helped us being in the lineup the last few nights.

Ott I think could be a captain. Just because no other teams have agitators as captains doesn't mean we can't. Some teams honestly have more 'character' guys as captains. Some teams have borderline agitator players as captains, Dustin Brown sometimes stirs the pot, Claude Giroux does, Alex Ovenchkin does (also a terrible Captain). Honestly Ott has some skill, yes he throws some dumb hits out there like the one the other night against Philly, but he absolutely shows leadership qualities.

Ott calls it like it is, which recently has been absolute poop. That is step one, you don't try to polish turds which is what Pominville tries to do. Ott is a veteran with a ton of passion, who, while he is an agitator, has many other skills on the ice. I think he is our best bet on Captain.

We would have to trade Pominville, who I love as a player, but I do advocate moving him. The reasoning is that we will have to trade 1 or 2 of Vanek, Pominville, and Miller once their contracts are up. I straight up don't want to lose Vanek because he is the youngest out of the three, and the only person who can consistently bury shots. The only way we could trade Miller is if we got a starting goaltender back who plays a lot of games, because we have no backup, and no potential starters who are NHL ready.

Trading Pominville works in two ways. First, it shakes up out leadership style and Ott can get in people's faces and hold them accountable rather than making excuses. Second, Pominville can bring us back some meaningful players that can contribute right away.

Granted I don't know a lot about Turris or what his stat line looks like currently but I would think Hodgson is better than Turris hands down.

Turris hasn't scored in like 20+ games, but doesn't matter because the Sens are still competitive, I'd rather have hodgson with no goals if it mean't the team was winning.

Maybe, but I hear its the other way. They do like each other and nobody wants to get in anybodys face and hold anyone responsible.

I think it is more like this, just coming into work each day probably having a few laughs, getting paid, but not really giving a poop. I mean the Power Play is a perfect example, with an extra skater even if not every time, you should get consistent chances, but they can't even enter the zone and get puck pressure with an extra skater!

Just doesn't make sense to me that Terry would keep Darcy going into the deadline and let him go in the summer, I would think if Darcy was gonna be fired Terry would've done it already. This organization has big decisions on key players coming up in 3 weeks at the deadline and in the summer too of course, lots of uncertainty and I don't want Darcy making these decisions.
