I look at Tyler Myers as we are bad with him but worse without him. All he needs is a stay at home defense men that will help with his development on the defensive side and let him learn his own on the offensive side of the puck.

Either way, this team is missing too many things to be a "captain away" from being good. I know we hockey fans like to think of NHL captains as some sort of grizzled veteran superman who walks into the locker room with eyes blazing and chest pumped out as he shouts an inspiring speech to get the troops rallied up, but I don't think that's the case.

I think the quality of the team matters. A good leader helps, but he doesn't make the team.

i know your not being serious, but.......i doubt players really care too much about a letter on their jersey, the players in the locker room really know who the actual leaders are and im sure that anyone is allowed to voice their views and opinions in the locker room

Yea I still feel the same way dmars.
With center ice I watch a lot of games and have quite a few Jersey games and I just don't see much on that roster talent wise.
Maybe I am just watching the wrong games. Not sure.
