Grigorenko played well tonight. His line had a couple chances in the 3rd where they should have scored. One Hecht was in front, so obviously no goal, second Stafford whiffed on a puck coming across the crease. Grigorenko is the one creating on that line IMO. |

Disagree, see tonight. - ImThatGuy
In fairness Peters has been playing in the AHL and apparently pretty bloody well, 6 shut outs or something like that, having said that. Enroth has a job and that is backup Miller and when he is called upon, he fails miserably, actually watching him in goals is painful, it seems like he has no plan at all.
We all know Miller has as perpenticy to have games like this, great saves, keeps the team in it, but then just can't make the SAVE when he needs to. |

Buffalo did not outshoot Carolina. At one point, it was 32 for Carolina, 25 for Buffalo. So you have the numbers backwards.
Myers was the reason for Carolina's first goal. He stood there in front of the net and allowed Tlusty to deflect that shot with no type of push back whatsoever. - HonkFortheGoose
We had 40 shots, they had 28... |

All 3 forwards were on the 1 side of the ice. Myers could have made the play but you also fail to mention the inability to clear the zone for 30 seconds before that |

I agree the few times I have seen him, he seems to make things happen, he will be ok once the team improves |

Few Thoughts:
Flynn - Looks really good. I like him, think he should stay.
Porter - Good role player
Grigorenko - Playing with a lot more confidence and it is showing
Myers - Had a strong game. Was starting rushes and up and down the ice.
Miller - Got outplayed by a 3rd string goalie. Buffalo outshout Carolina 41-28. Goalie needs to make saves
Gerbe - The last goal is on him, he had 2-3 chances to clear the puck out of the zone and did not. - ImThatGuy
He's a lot tougher on the body than I thought. He and Foligno work pretty well together. |

Ennis -3 tonight. - Powerslave
That line is brutal on defense. Gerbe and Ennis together on the ice is a bad idea when you get stuck in your own zone. |

One goal, that was a great deflection. What about the other 3? Or are they his fault to still cause he is the new whipping boy. (NOt a shot at you at all)
Ryan Miller 24 Saves
Peters 37 Saves

Must have turned off his TV after the 2nd period . I think we outshout them something like 18-4 in the third. |

And he's playing like a kid who doesn't ever want to see another bus ride in the AHL again. As long as he keeps up that kind of effort, they will start going in for him, and Sabres brass has really no choice but to make a spot for him. |

The whole team is bad. But Myers needs to clear guys out from in front of the net. Not just stand there and watch them get a shot on net. |

Yeah I like Ennis, but those 2 on a line or on the ice together is just asking for trouble |

I was going off of a comment that they made during the 3rd period. They said that Buffalo had closed the gap on shots and it was 32-25.

It is really laughable at times. People have hoped on teh myers fault bandwagon and wont get off. He had a good game tonight.
Miller needs to play better than a AHL call up. Props to Peters though, played out of his mind |

He won't do that, has NEVER done that, what makes you think he is going to start doing that ? He is the weakest, softest, 6'10" player I think we will ever see, Chara instills the fear of god into opposing players, Myers, instills confidence into opposing players.

So it is just that Enroth is no good because he does not play, yet every other back up goalie goes out and plays every 7-10 games (1-2 times a month) and is normally respectable. Got it. - ImThatGuy
We have played 24 games and Enroth has started 2. That's 12 games in between play time for Enroth which is WAY too much.
Plus a back-up plays more than 1-2 times a month. For the Canes Ellis has started in 5 out of their 21 games (not including tonight). |

He is one of my favorite players to watch. But he is weak defensively and small "obviously". Add Gerbe to the mix and its a disaster in your own zone. |

I'm trying to figure out how Carolina lost shots then. They said during the broadcast that it was 32-25. So they took 4 away at some point?? - HonkFortheGoose
