Some more rumors:
•Flyers looking to add a dominant offensive defenseman: someone that can run the power-play from the point. Philadelphia sources have confirmed to me that the Flyers have began preliminary talks with the Jets, the Panthers and the Flames in regards to Byfuglien, Campbell and Bouwmeester respectively. Holmgren is aggressively working the phones.
•The Pens are shopping once more for a winger. They have re-kindled contact with the Leafs in regards to Kulemin. Also talking to the Wild in regards to Setoguchi and Bouchard.
•Both New York coaches are currently on the hot seat. Being told that Capuano and Tortorella could lose their jobs very soon if their teams don’t turn things around.
•The Isles have also begun contract extension negotiations with Nabokov and Streit. From sources close to the Swiss d-man, he is very fond of the team and wants to finish his career in Long Island.
•The Devils are looking to add more scoring punch; they are interested in Umberger and Weiss. Being told that Greene could be moved before the deadline if it’s a hockey deal that would make the team better right away.

I'll take Tortorella for a couple of years. This team could stand to have its coach angry with it on a daily basis. It also wouldn't hurt to have someone other than Hamonic learn how to ACTUALLY block a shot every once in a while, instead of just screening the goaltender.
I'm also very glad if the Nabokov thing is true; as I said, these kids need to learn from someone who at least CAN play the position. Streit is fine, if he eventually becomes like the 4th or 5th defenseman, because he IS good on the PP, and you need one of those guys in your lineup. That said, JT needs to be the captain, and Streit needs to understand that if he is staying. He also can't be the d-man who plays a lot of minutes, because he's not that good at defense.
