full cages can make the less skilled players a bit a loose with the high sticks. i know guys that don't wear anything in a league or good private skate but who will wear something if they are showing up for public shinny or something like that.

they did if i remember correctly. it was a great tournament. the games were tough but off the ice everyone was great.
