Exacly right. Both Bailey and KO were high picks. They need to show a lot more than this. No more excuses. - ses111

That's right. Baby time is over. Time to show some passion out there. Put yourself in front of the net. Throw some checks. Do not cry about not having Bossy on your line. Make something happen. |

I would not give him away cheap like for a 2nd round pick as an example. No way is he an untouchable though. - ses111
I overvalue Grabner, personally. As in, I'd have to get more than even I think he's worth to trade him away. His speed and quick stick combine for a pretty rare skill set. It's not just a matter of replacing his production. The Isles have a unique weapon in Grabner that they'd be giving up. Defensemen are starting to talk about him...being aware of where he is at all times, not making passes across because of him. It limits what they're doing out there when they know they have to be mindful of Grabner picking off passes and going the other way. Add in the decent goal production to boot (yes, it would be great production if he finished more, but he still gets his share of goals) and his greater tenacity this year, and I don't even know why his name keeps coming up here in trade discussions. |

come on!!! im not a cappy apologist but this is totally a tuesday morning quarterback comment. its VERY easy to coach when you know the result.
if anyone complained about the timeout that was called, mind you, to rest the top PP unit which has been incredibly productive, in hopes to get them rest, go up 3 goals and stomp on the hurricanes throat then i dont know what youre watching. - LetsGoIsles
there was no reason for it and half the Colisieum last night agreed. Why? you said to go up 3 - 0. Please they were doing fine leave it alone. See what happened is after that time out the power play was horrible they took some stupid penalities and they stopped playing. Sorry bad decsion for Captain Jack and should never have happened |

I would of played Nabby last night. You ride your hot goalie, especially when your coming off a giant losing streak. Capuano again not doing the smart thing behind the bench. The team plays better when Nabby is in, more confidence. - Mr.Black
Nabby would not have made difference. he has been aweful in back to back game. give him his rest and maybe he can steal game for us against boston.
Poulin did not shine but he cant be blame for loss. Cam Ward let in softie as well on Moulson 1st goal and he got the W.
The problem is 2nd and 3rd line contribution plain and simple.
Also dont be Nielsen hating. Its hard to do it all alone if you have guys if Aucoin and bailey dont help.
I thought Nielsen played well with Boyes.
Dont dont Boyes bash b/c he has gotten it down on both 1st and 2nd line.
If Bailey and KO dont contribute this team goes nowhere. |

noooooo...def not what i meant...in fact i agree with your thinking; that he IS valuable, and being that his is valuable and being that there are a lot more (soon to be ready) prospect coming up in the system, it would be in the islanders advantage to trade some of the talent in order to bolster the blue line (DEFINITELY wouldnt trade him for draft picks) |

Start by going to the net with your stick on the ice. At least look like you are ready for a pass.
Go to the traffic areas and get some rebounds. Work hard in the bad areas and get the rewards. |

No way I would give Graber away that is for sure. I think there is a decent chance we get a new coach. That will most likely be Weight or Thompson. I do not like the chances of a trade. - ses111

KO sucks bad right now. Watch Grabs' break-away goal against Miller the other night. KO trips over the blue line on his way into the zone. I saw it and I actually started to laugh uncontrollably because all KO does is trip over his own two feet. |

did you say this before the game started? how about after the first 30 minutes of the game?..... or is this just having hindsight to work with? - LetsGoIsles
I said this right after the Buffalo game, than I gave Poulin my good graces |

second and third goals were Poulin's fault, nobody else's.
agree about the other lines, this team needs secondary consistent scoring. |

There are two minutes in a pp. You don't rest your pp up by two in the first period. Put your second unit out there then your first. As we saw later on the game with the Tavares line gassed in the defensive zone with a minute left we could've used it. You'll defend every bone headed move anyone on this team makes. If you can't see that's bush league than I don't know what to tell you. Even Butchie who is a bigger homer(o) than you questioned it. |

Guys like Bailey and KO do not leave it all on the ice. I'm sick of seeing these guys in the lineup every night when they add nothing. Even Frans I get his is not a second line center you still need to do better than 2 goals in 19 games. |

Look at guys like Marleau, his total distance of his goals is like 22 feet. He camps in the crease and bangs in passes from Joe.. Dirty area goals. |

KO laughing it up with Ward after getting stopped in the first...then later on a shift he glides back toward his zone on D, takes a nice big lazy turn in center and glides up behind the play on offense again, not moving his legs once except to cross over on the turns the entire time...this is even beside him just falling into the boards and defensemen. This is what happens when you don't scratch the players who clearly need to be sent a message. |

That timeout had zero to do with anything. The hurricanes didn't sore a goal for over another 20 minutes |

No, you are right it didn't. But it was a waste of a time out that could've been used later in the game effectively. Yeah, they would have lost because they have zero heart, time out would'nt have changed anything probably but it was bush league Capuano at his best none the less. |

If you watch the game after the Islanders hardly got any shots on goal and they stopped playing. Hurricanes were just as bad. If you kept the timeout then when they tied it up you could have settled down the team. Even though Jack would have not done that anyway |

KO dont care there is no pressure to do anything. He knows he is not going to go anywhere. Half the guys know that GArth Snow cant trade them so why bother playing. Snow thinks this is the best team going since he put it together but someone needs to tell Garth to his face that he sucks and his team on teh ice sucks as well |

When you have fans like some on here there is no pressure, these guys that think Snow is a genius and believe in his BS "plan". Guess what jackasses there is no plan. The only plan Snow has is reaching the floor, that's it. You think he's drafting some super competitive team than you're even stupider than I previously thought. Get your heads out your a$$ses |

I think the guys have a little more self-respect and pride than that. |
