Schnieder Looked Good In those Highlights Boinker, but still, are you willing to let him run with the #1, ship out Lou, and see what happens?? Whos the backup if Lack is hurt?? Maybe pick up DiPietro off wavers at Noon today?? - Jimmy_wiener
I am comfortable going with Schneider, the "kid" is awesome and it doesn't matter if he gets lit up, after every goal he comes back with the same mind set, stop the puck.
If Lu gets dealt a goalie will be coming back, or MG will pick up a vet from somewhere else, Lack is done for the year I think

Next season. I'd rather us trade Luongo at the draft. Roll with two goalies. If Gillis gets a really good deal at the deadline than I'd trade him but I'm hoping it's at the draft for picks and prospects.
Just need to keep it away from Rinne's glove hand, which means pretty much away from anywhere that his arm can reach, because he'll go across his body to make a glove save. But, one goal aught to do it. In the words of the immortal Bieska, Shots Shots Shots Shots Shots. - 1970vintage
Speaking of Bieksa he is on some goal scoring streak lately. Seemed to silence all the haters huh? Man I remember how much hate he used to get on here daily. 5 goals already and he seems to be joining the offensive rush more and more. And the goals he does score are clutch, big goals. He and Kesler are my favorite Canucks but based on play lately I'd say Juice is ahead of Kesler now. I may just have to get Bieksa on my uncustomized authentic home jersey.

It's tough. Does he stand up and get the shoulder on it and leave the bottom half at risk? Ya he could have saved it but it's not that easy. I wouldn't necessarily say he should have had it. It was a perfect shot. - Boinker
I can't help but think if Lou was in net that would be considered a very soft goal.....
Honestly Ian, the first goal wasn't Schneiders fault. Did you look at the defense scrambling around? Plus you have to give credit to Benns shot. He only had two inches to fit that in and he did. It was perfect. The second one he was screened on. I'd like to see him battle a little more there. He's not playing up to his capabilities right now but we need to let him get in a groove. Luongo starts tonight but Schneider should get the next four or five. - Boinker
Schneider pulled off the post (again) and he must get control of that or it will be a problem. Otherwise he's fine and will get better.

Yeah, I'll admit I've been vocal about my displeasure with his play in the past. He has been pretty consistent at putting up offensive numbers, its those terrible plays in front of his own net that are the trouble. Wasn't it him and Hamhuis on that first goal coughing it up to Benn?

I don't know, Benn had two chances, the first one blocked and Schneider was down covering the bottom of the net well, the bounce came right back and he had all day to pick his spot. I agree with Boinker, it was a perfect shot, but I hear what you're saying, Lu may have been expected by some to make that save.
Both Goalies are Awesome, its not the goalies fault, Schnide & LUO great tandem... HAWKS game, if it wasnt for Cory ..Canucks shoulda been down even more,,,,,,KASSIAN was no where last nite vs Dallas-fight....wow
Big Hoss in the lineup tonight along with Seabrook and Carcillo. I know there were a lot of Canuck fans worried about him so thought I'd bring the good news.... the record falls tonight!!

I'm glad he's ok, but lying prone on the ice and not moving was a little ridiculous.
I have to say though I have had very little respect for Lou over the years, thought he was overrated at times. Was scared when he was in net for team Canada as he was one of those guys that you don't know when he is going to give up that bad goal.
But you know what, I'm starting to like that crazy dancing italian. Yet another interview yesterday and the guy is just so well spoken given the circumstances.
I often wonder if Schneider is the one eventually dealt simply because the contract is easier to move, but in reality move Lou so I can cheer for him. - Lahey
It's weird, before this year, most fans of other teams said:
Roberto has done nothing over the years. He gets pulled in big games, Canada won the gold in spite of him, and the fact that he was captain was a joke!
Why the change? - nucks_94
I'd say it's the change in Roberto. He's way more relaxed and has shown a humourous side to him... It's good to see him not be as affected by this season's goalie controversy, as he's been affected by... Well, almost anything in the history of his career.

Pretty much every CHI/VAN game is a beauty. I would put it as one of the top rivalries in the league, and almost all the games are entertaining. I love how both teams really seem to despise each other (I know every team in the league despises Vancouver).
