That's about the craziest thing I've ever read.

As for the organization, you see, back in 1979, somone, and we're still trying to find out who, sold their soul to the devil in the Islanders organization. In exchange for possibly the greatest team in NHL history for 4 years, we would then have to deal with 100 years of AHL talent, AHL coaching, and inept owner, and a backup goalie for a GM. We would then have to make our way through sewage to to get to our seats at the coliseum, have a beautiful new arena dangled in front of us, only to end up moving to a basketball court in Brooklyn. Hundreds of thousands of fans have abondoned ship, but you are now having a conversation with the 10 or 12 that are sticking it out.

Now what's the Habs excuse?

The excuse for the Habs is that they had to get away from the past. The history was, for to many years, a problem for Habs to adjust to new era hockey. Now its changing with Marc Bergevin and Molson.
