I think it's part of the game. New people sign up or read the comments for a while and pick their spot to jump in. They hit the place guns blazing. They say things that sound crazy in an attempt to sound different than everyone else. They take criticism or differences of opinion personally and lash out trying to "win" the argument. Once they've argued with a handful of people, they're labelled a pain in the ass.

The smart people figure out that they are killing the conversation and learn to adapt. The real trolls get banned and create alts and keep spouting their hateful garbage.

I can rattle off plenty of people who were "new" and were total tools until they got the hang of things. The guys who have been around here longer than me might include me in that group, and I probably wouldn't disagree.

Well, I'd still be spending a lot of time in here if the comments were in kevin's thread, but it has been an added "perk" I guess.

I hope that Hecht stays in but plays within the role that they signed him to play. 4th line, throw in some PK time. Lindy definitely overused him.

I don't get it. I guess it's because Kevin's blogs are pretty straight-forward. Garth raises more topics to discuss, or mistakes to correct him on, and of course more troll bait.

I really thought that the day after Lindy's fired and the morning of a Leafs game there would be more action around here.

Forgive me if this has been said before, I was not about to read through all 78 pages of comments.

I don't get the people who think some of the players are going to be shipped out now or that there will still be a big roster shake up. If Regier could have made moves before firing Ruff don't you think he would have?

I think Darcy and Terry both would have loved to have done something else to turn this team around. If there was any deal out there that even remotely could have helped this team I think Darcy would have made it. Then, if the team still does not respond, he could have made the move none of us expected.

If the team doesn't respond to Rolston, any move the Sabres make is going to be a desperation move, not usually Darcy's MO. It may change as we approach the trade deadline. But right now, there is no move to make.

Just my opinion of course.

Lurked all day yesterday. Wasnt sure what i wanted to say. Ive been calling for a change for weeks, but when i heard- i felt bad for lindy. Weird. I think rolston is the perfect interem guy. Total anti lindy. Cant wait to see what they bring tonight. Regretting selling my tix for saturdays game

As long as he doesn't play Scott or Hecht in the last minute if down a goal, give Hecht more ice time then Vanek, bench the Grigo, those were my pet beefs with Ruff. Then this coach should be OK. He's supposed to be a good teacher. Lets hope so. This team needs to go back to hockey 101.
