The voices in his head.
- jochfr

and those voices tell me that Miller, Pomminville and Vanek wll be dealt at the trade deadline if the right offer is put on the table.
No way any of them re-sign at the end of next year if this team misses the playoffs this year and next.

Vanek/Cody/Pomer
Foligno/Ennis/Grigs
Ott/Porter/Stafford
Gerbe/Hecht/Kaleta.

Is how I'd start them tomorrow night, then go from there.

- dadeadhead

I'm ok w that to start...
Problem is, we only have 8 guys that should be in the top9... And only 4 of them are scoring

I liked Vanek's admission that he and Lindy did not see eye to eye.....that is the problem with trying to coach millionaires who think they know everything...now let's see if they can carry this team into the playoffs with a new coach.

Each year this team has needed a scape goat:
Timmy, then Roy, then Hecht, when Lindy brought back Hecht he put his own head on the chopping block.

So folks who is the next whipping boy to be run out of town.....Stafford, Vanek, Miller?

Vanek- top 6/top 4, top five prospect organizationally, and a 1st

Miller- gets tougher do to the modified NMC. Goalie, roster player, top five prospect, and a 1st.

Pommer- again modified NMC. Top prospect, roster player, late 1st/early 2nd depending on team.

It's a start.

Flynn should be next up if they decide to waive/trade someone for peanuts.

.....I could've surmised, was just looking for a response from Rico

Agreed though each seems like a fair return for them or a good jumping off point

It is very difficult to say.
Washington may be willing to trade Ovechkin...they are fed up with him, but we would not want him.
Minnesota might gie you Heatly and a pick for Vanek.

Anaheim might be willing to trade us Bobby Ryan plus for Vanek.....

Miller - he is bound to head for San Jose or Detroit after next year if we don't do anything now, so why not try to swap goalies with San Jose and put up a package to get Thornton

Pomminville would probably interest Philly.

Stafford is Stafford. He'll score in bunches and the disappear. I guess I'd rather deal with Stafford and his issues then David Jones at the same price. But I would look to move him. Problem is his value is low now.

Like I said, Rolston better tell Stafford that he better step it up and start to score or learn to check and fight because the only ice he should see is 4th line ice
