Sabres are a mess and 1 trade won't make a difference, this not a playoff team we are far from it. Rolston won't do much the players play, the game doesn't change. I know we needed a change but we still have the same crappy players and until that changes we will get the same results.

I just don't need the bad attitudes of the guys that have been here causing issues. I don't think it would be a good confidence booster to have them get killed nightly either.

Hopefully Rolston can get the ship righted to the point that they can bring some of them up and see what they have. I'd be ok with that.

If your going to try to convince me that it is bad to have an open check book than im not buying it. And yes the baseball and basketball teams count, ask the teams fans that wouldn't spend to the salary cap if there was one and see if they would like an open checkbook to be competitive

there is a difference between open checkbook and spending wisely and making sure you can put a team together that would compete at a high level and contend, and not have all your eggs in one basket with a few high priced players unless they are like crosby+malkin

baltimore, tampa, washington (i believe) all were competitive last season without massive payrolls

preds, yotes are also quickly come to mind in the NHL

having money to spend is good and helpful IF it is done right, and you can get players signed at reasonable prices

The old time regulars generally do. It's some of the new people over the last year or so that are the problem.
