THIS....absolutely love Peters...I think they should bring him in as a very insignificant assistant. Like nothing to do with hockey decisions and whatnot but his presence around the rink is valuable. Very well liked among the players and always upbeat.

I'll admit, I'm pretty sad Lindy Ruff was fired today. It's not to say that he probably didn't deserve it, or that it hasn't been a long time coming, but I'm sad nonetheless because I liked him. I guess this is good though because at least it shows that Pegula might actually be receptive to change and not clinging to the past, which feels particularly buffalo to me in general. It's bittersweet today, but necessary, hopefully this change will be good for us, change isn't bad.

This is another thing to add to the list of sabres heartbreak but hopefully one day when we win the cup the tears of joy will be that much sweeter.

Typical Darcy will just hire Rolston and little will change.

Theres a saying that goes if you have the 1st pick you take the best talent but I dont think thats the case with us. Jones is far and away the best player available but we need scoring so bad. Drouin or Mackinnon should be the pick. We only have one line that can score right now plain and simple. Mcnabb pysyk will come around eventually and Myers (should) (at some point...) snap out of his horrid slump

I'm actually extremely sad that Ruff got fired. He's the only coach I've ever known, I mean I think he was hired when I was 10 months old...I really miss the great times this team and city had with those teams right after the lockout...those were the good old days...honestly, those days were awesome...those are the only teams I know and I'm gonna miss seeing Lindy behind the bench...when you say Buffalo you think Lindy Ruff...that said, I hope he catches somewhere and is succesfull...I just really wish he could've won the cup here...that's how it was supposed to happen and he was supposed to go out on his own terms...but it was time...
