I feel bad for capuano. It's like tiger woods asking me to play 2 holes for him.

Remember going to the carnival as a kid and they'd give you a stick and rubber puck and there would be slots on a cardboard goalie for you to put the puck through and you'd win a goldfish or a stuffed animal or something?

That's what it's like for an NHLer to score against DP. I mean, poop, 2 guys scored their first NHL goals in the SAME GAME.

I feel bad for capuano too. Like him or not, management has given him no real help in making the team better and he's forced to play Dipietro in a must win game tonight . He isn't a bad coach, I think he is just a bad head coach at this level

A team that is taught to play disciplined defense does not play the way this team does. Ottawa is missing two of their three best players, but once they went ahead, 2-0, they started playing the lock....dump it down....one forechecker....bottle up the neutral zone...dump it back down. This team has NO idea how to do that, which has nothing to do with the payroll, Snow, Wang, the Town of Hempstead, or the black jerseys. It has to do with the fact that they are not coached to play that way, and they are not reprimanded or disciplined when they do not play that way.

There are no consequences to how they play- none. Who sat tonight, because of a 7-0 embarrassment? Ullstrom? Really? And he sat for a center, which means they wanted Reasoner in the lineup for a reason that had nothing to do with Ullstrom playing like cr*p on Monday. That is unacceptable....

All I can do is laugh at this point. The salary and the friendship are obviously the only 2 reasons he's on this team.

He can't go post-to-post. He can't get off the ice once he's down. He can't come out of the net and play the puck. His body language EVERY shot is terrible, always looking over his shoulder. His save % is the worst in the league over the past 3 or 4 years. He can't go a game without allowing at least one poopty goal, and I'm being kind.

A normal NHL team doesn't allow a guy like this to play. Someone said it before, even the (frank)ing Rangers sent Redden to Hartford. Let him rot in the minors. Frankly, I don't think he's starting material at Bridgeport, either.

It's sad this guy is healthy enough to keep playing and making his big salary when he cannot get up from a save and move post to post? What is wrong with this picture.

"Usually after a game, win or lose, the players go on the ice to greet their goalie the Isles tonight just left the bench and went right to the dressing room, can you blame them?"

I agree. As I said, he isn't head coach material. But what help has management given him? All he can do is shift lines and scratch one or two players. It's a joke.

I'd love to see some of the players start to rip DP. Give us some sort of entertainment. I'd love to see the whole team get into fight's with each other in practice but only two guys on the team fight. The rest of the guys would just run away.

I believe most people formed an hypothesis on that experimant 4 years ago?

People who blame Capuano can't see the trees through the forest. The blame lies with one person who allows this to permeate. It's (frank)ing obvious. There's always one constant through almost 2 decades of crap.

He always says this is the best lockerroom he's ever been in, so I'm not holding my breath. I'm assuming for him to feel this way, some of these guys must like him. "It's like a country club in there," right?

Between tonight, the Carolina game, buffalo game and point lost in Winnipeg, an argument can be made the isles should have 7 more points with good goaltending. Nabby hasn't stolen a game and DP doesn't give this team a chance to win.

Management has done nothing to improve this team. Yet capuano, who I think shouldn't be coach, has no chance. No coach does. Yet outside of 3 games, the isles have played with decent enough energy and created more scoring chances then they have in years.

They need a long term solution in goal. Nabokov isn't the problem, but his stats are below average.

I don't know how Snow and Wang can allow this RDP experiment to continue. If they are serious about winning, they need to send RDP through waivers and down to Bridgeport and let him rot down there backing up Nilsson while Poulin comes up to split time with Nabby and give this te NHL quality goaltending night in and night out. Enough is enough.

Even Burke cannot trade all the prospects we drafted. We will also at least know what a trade looks like again.
