Parros and Westgarth spring to mind. Joe Juneau is apparently crazy smart as well.

Tough break.

Schneider was being drafted way too early, he went in the top 20 in both of my pools. There was always a good chance the Luongo would stay in Vancouver for the start of the season and it was pretty obvious that he wasn't going to be typical scrub backup goalie. Both guys will finish the season with solid numbers, but you won't get the amount of wins that the other top goalies will.

Maybe on the PP, but I think he's going to need a few games to get going offensively at even strength.

IMO we have no Norris defense on this team. Lot of 2/3/4 guys, but who would you say was our last bonafide #1?

Both were drafted mid-rounds in my pool. Neither have left the bench yet. Too up and down at this point. I'm sure this is the case in most pools.

Speaking of pools... I have shattenkirk, and need at least 1G and a PPP from him tonight, to pull even for the week. Pretty please with sugar on top.

Who would you list as franchise?

Weber, Chara, Karlsson, Lidstrom if he wants to unretire?

- immature_male

I'd put Pietrangelo and OEL in there. OEL is a God.

Blacker was the number 1 D. He was their go to guy. He didn't have a guy beside him that is better, a guy that made Team Canada, to score. Corrado had Ryan Murphy beside him. That helps Corrado's +/-. It also helps that Kitchener's best player, Leivo, is scoring at a great clip.
- prock

Murphy is a gong-show defensively. Every Kitchener fan I've spoken to has said that having Corrado beside him has been a blessing.

Nice 8 second shift to start the game for the Blues starting line-up...

The coaches would rather make this Hitchcock vs AV competitive line matching than blues vs Canucks.

I'd put Pietrangelo there, he became a bonafide number one guy last year and now he looks even better this year so far. There's very few d-men I'd rather start a franchise with over him.

(frank), everytime we play the Blues I wonder what could have been if the Blues didn't match that Backes offer sheet.

Pietrangelo is a number 1, but not a franchise D yet. Chara and maybe Weber and Karlsson are the only guys I consider franchise D right now, but Pietro is well on his way.

Nice. Henrik.

edit: I mean Kesler.

I wouldn't trade OEL for a 1st overall pick. OEL is PHX's best player (Mike Smith will never put up even close to last year's numbers). He plays 26-28 minutes a night at 21.

He's a special player and I consider him a franchise D man.

All I care about is him doing it 5 on 5. If his 2nd line is as useless as it was last season, we're in big trouble.

Not saying he's not an excellent player, but he'll have to put up more than a 32 point career best before I'll call him a franchise D.

Who I'd consider franchise D men:
Pietrangelo, OEL, Karlsson, Chara, Weber, Keith, Doughty.

Future possibles: Dougie Hamilton, Seth Jones, Justin Faulk(he's that good), Ryan Murray, McDonagh, Hedman, Fowler, and I pray to God almighty Justin Schultz (homerism and unlikely)

that was at age 20. He's got 8P in 15GP so far. I'll bet you he'll put up 40 before 24.

Fowler, Schultz and McD are 2 one dimensional to be franchise. I like Faulk but lets not get carried away
