Anyone know of any good articles with quotes from Manny Malhotra's POV regarding the forced end to his season? Everything I read seems to indicate that he seems to think he can play right now with no more risk than when he returned from the injury...

Of course, Gillis the snake oil salesman sleazeball (just my opinion, don't bother getting all offended on his behalf) begs to differ and is outraged by any insinuation that his motivation to shut Manny down had more to do with a convenient opportunity to save cap space/open a roster spot than Malhotra's own safety.

Gillis' mistakes are piling up and (how many years later) this team is still built by the guys he badmouthed upon his arrival. For those who don't remember, Gillis said that he was brought in to make "bold moves"... Unless keeping the previous GM's coaching staff and core is bold, we're still (frank)ing waiting you puffy douchebag.

I don't think Manny has spoken to anyone yet. When he skated with the team a little while ago, he refused to take any questions. I really hope that this wasn't just a cap move, and that there is genuine concern for his safety. Otherwise, this would be despicable.

Meh, might as well start Booth on the 4th line and let him work his way up. I don't understand why he's splitting up Raymond and Schroeder. I'd also rather have Volpatti over Weise in a rivalry game since he can actually fight.

This. I don't get it, but I'm not surprised. It's AVs MO to split up two guys who actually have chemistry to try something new in a big game.

Because someone has to make Kesler look good 5 on 5 and Raymond is playing with a ton of confidence right now. AV is all about stubbornly shoving square pegs into round holes and then blaming the pegs for not fitting.

Also, don't know if you've read this, but I thought this was a pretty interesting article from PITB.

Yeah, this seems like a move to try and get Kesler going 5 on 5. It could also be a move to get Kesler two of our best two-way wingers on his line to go up against the Toews line since Kassian would probably struggle in that role.

It's hard to piss & moan about a fellow who puts up a blog almost every day but some of these threads start getting a little redundant. Nice to get a fresh perspective on the inevitable trolling.

You do realize Weiss is small and not physical at all, right? What happened to that bruising second line that the Canucks just had to have? I love when everyone starts spouting about some player they think their team should get, just because they're being thrown around in rumours, when they've obviously never watched them play.
